Now I'm wondering if the Lakers having cap space is an unforeseen change. Hopefully not, it'd suck to lose Kemba to them after a full day of hope.

I am pretty sure it is Russell for them.

Give me Kemba, I can take that.

But need to get either Capela or Adams imo, a center that can allow Tatum, Smart, Brown and Kemba to all start together

How do you propose you get Capela or Adams??

Capela would have to be a deal around Smart, which I do not like, or Hayward, which no one else likes. lol

Hayward for Smith and TT
TT for Adams
Adams and Smith for Hayward (smith waived, saves another 12 million for use on free agents)

Smart to Philly, Capela to Boston.

Russell makes sense if they cannot get Kawhi/Kyrie maybe Butler?

I think this move was foreseeable, and I assume Kemba’s agent had it on his radar.

Or, this could ge another David West situation, where there was mutual interest but the media blew it out of proportion. Let’s hope not.

or sign and trade for Kemba
And how would we get Capela or Adams, sign Kemba and still keep Tatum, Smart, Brown ? Nevermind, just trade Hayward, right?

Langford and cash for Capela works

Langford makes 2.8 million. Capela makes 16.4 million. So no it doesn't?

Nice move. You know what I meant, you just proposed another Hayward trade a few posts up.
I don't think Danny is looking to trade the player he just drafted with the 14th pick

Smart to Philly, Capela to Boston.

How much would that suck?

To Boston: Capela

To Houston: Butler, Yabu

To Philly: Smart, Gordon, Tucker

I know there’s a BYC issue in there, but I’m sure it’s solveable. Let’s assume Gordon has to go to a 4th team.

That potentially makes Philly a monster.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo sports just said on Cowherd  Kemba Walker to the Celtics is a "done deal." 4/$141M. Walker is viewed as a better fit in Boston than Irving.

A few minutes later it was announced Davis had renounced his trade kicker, and the Lakers had dumped 3 guys on the Wizards to up their cap space to $32M.  According to Cowherd, that could mean Russell. Others of interest include Leonard, Butler and Irving. Walker not mentioned as a target of Lakers. The thinking now is Butler stays in Philly, Irving to the Nets, Leonard to Toronto or Clippers.

Philly with that level of wing depth would be scary.

Though they'd be running an awful lot of Smart at point guard.

I have heard the opposite from just about every major NBA guy the last few days. I am sure things can change, but I would be pretty surprised.

Under no circumstances do I ever want to see Smart on the Sixers.

If Lemba is a done deal, then there must be some follow up trade to bring in a big or two since the only guy over 6'8 on our roster is RWill. Could be Brown for Sabonis, but Pacers dont seem inclined (and I wouldnt do that trade Iif I was Bos). Could be Smart for Capela or Turner. Maybe a three team deal with Hayward and Steven Adams/Andre Drummond?
