The thing to keep in mind (from what I've read) is the only person who speaks for Leonard is his uncle/agent.  He doesn't confide in anyone else - including teammates -  so he's not talking to any reporters.  Anyone saying they know where he's going is probably talking to team sources or other players agents - so no one (besides Woj of course) is likely to know till he actually decides.

Assuming Cousins would expect the Veteran Minimum, sure. But he probably won't.

And, yes, Boston could go through a series of steps to stay over the cap and have Non-Taxpayer MLE. But as

I mean, it all depends upon the price of the deal. If they require just a 2nd round pick for the deal - maybe even the 2020 Cleveland 2nd rounder from Charlotte that should be pretty good - then I think that's something that you do. Though it all depends upon who you're doing it for.

Lakers will then just absorb half of the Cavs for a 2nd round pick. Gilbert will be excited to shed the payroll.

I think the Clips would steer clear, because two injury-prone big contracts in Love and Gallo. Lakers would do it though, lol
