Golden State is trading Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, league source tells ESPN. Warriors are sending a 2024 protected first-round pick in the 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected.

I was thinking Iggy would stay on the Grizzlies, and make them a team that could win a few more games than we'd like (similar to the Kings last year). Thus making the Grizzlies pick not a bottom 6 pick.

I am likely wrong though, especially since it seems like Iguodala will get bought out

I think we have to consider that a lot of guys just don't want to come to Boston - that combined with our limited ability to offer 8 figure contracts

We've signed All-Star free agents in 3 of the past 4 summers, in addition to getting Kyrie to waive his trade bonus to come here. Can we put this notion that guys don't want to come here to bed?

Agree that we are somewhat limited in the salary department, though, especially given that it's unclear what exception we'll be able to offer at this point.

Let's not forget Klay will be out most of next season.  When he returns he'll probably shift up to SF.

This is GSW trying to make the best of the situation they were in.

Small sample size, but D'Angelo Russell also shot 39.3 percent off catch and shoot last year.

I think he's a great fit offensively, defensively on the other hand, well, if he turns into a good team defender like Steph did, it's good enough.

Please sweet baby Jesus let this happen. I've been pulling for this since hearing Woj's report. A Noel/Timelord pairing at the 5 has a lot of potential.

Seems like it was another minimum-level contract. I think we could probably get him with the room exception of 4.7M.
