They could, but the Spurs are the only team I can think of that has been able to be a relevant team for 10+ years in the modern era by just retooling around their core. Even Kobe's Lakers had to go through some rough years. Teams just can't last for as long with the crazy free agencies we see.

I was thinking Iggy would stay on the Grizzlies, and make them a team that could win a few more games than we'd like (similar to the Kings last year). Thus making the Grizzlies pick not a bottom 6 pick.

I am likely wrong though, especially since it seems like Iguodala will get bought out

Let's not forget Klay will be out most of next season.  When he returns he'll probably shift up to SF.

This is GSW trying to make the best of the situation they were in.

I think we have to consider that a lot of guys just don't want to come to Boston - that combined with our limited ability to offer 8 figure contracts
