Social media has a tendency to dumb down even supposedly smart people.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I agree completely.

By the way this is a bit off topic but I never understood this idea that brown is some super intelligent guy. He took one masters course in cultural studies, and then was a guest speaker at a media lab at MIT. cool stuff but that doesn't make someone Einstein.

tacko fall is intelligent. He earned a BS degree in engineering
Kelly olynyk is intelligent. He earned a BS degree in accounting
Jeremy Lin is intelligent.  Earned an Econ degree from Harvard

Brown seems to be slightly more open minded about topics compared to a lot of his peers. But I sometimes don't see the proof that he's a genius. Maybe more of a free thinker who would like to do more. I respect his attempt to represent himself without an agent, and I also think its cool his involvement in the players association. I'm wondering how his self-representation will affect his upcoming contract negotiations, and whether he will be taking the phone calls personally from GMs and what not.

I somewhat agree with this. Fall and Grant Williams are both legitimately academically smart. I don't know if Brown is quite like that.

However, he clearly likes to open himself up to new ideas and whatnot, and is a pretty well-spoken guy for the most part (Instagram comments notwithstanding). I don't know if he's a genius, or has the kind of academic nous that some other guys do, but he's definitely clever.

true. Brown is a refreshing player as well to listen to when he speaks. He doesn't say the same canned lines and isn't afraid to speak out..
