Smart, Brown, Tatum, Semi, RW

Bench: Edwards, Langford, Hayward, Williams, Yabu

So yeah ... there are some very obvious and glaring holes in the frontcourt (no starting caliber PF or C) and backup PG.

But we know we're going to add a bunch of players, even if they're just journeymen types like Baynes.

DEPTH

Starting lineup
C - Vonleh or Bryant
F -  Hayward
F - Tatum
G - Brown
G - Smart

C - Vonleh or Bryant/Robert Williams
F -  Grant Williams/Semi
F -  Semi/Langford
G -  Langford/Edwards
G -  Edwards/Waters

Sign Thomas Bryant to a 3 year 15-18 million dollars
Sign Noah Vonleh to a 3 year 15-18 million dollars

Don't think Robert Wililams will be ready for regular mins off the bench and will need to keep refining his game, extending range and building his body.

For 12 million dollars signing both Thomas Bryant and Vonleh would help add length/size but also they would provide capable shooting

Don't think Langford will get meaningful minutes at first, but in the 2nd half provide some scoring punch (5 mins per game).

Lineup rotation at the start of the season

C- Vonleh or Bryant
F - Hayward
F - Tatum
G - Brown
G - Smart

C - Vonleh or Bryant
F - Grant Williams
F - Semi
G - Edwards

I like this idea, especially Vonleh.

Agreed.  The roster is going to look pretty different by the end of the summer.  They aren't going to head into the season with a second round rookie as the backup PG and a big man rotation comprised entirely of guys on rookie contracts.

we need a super star if Danny can't get a superstar in Boston fire his ass because we should have had Kawhi Leonard on our team we should have been holding the trophy it's ridiculous what's the point of having all these assets if when the time comes you don't have the balls to make the gamble

If Danny was smart he would have known even a 70% Kawhi is better then 90% of the league honestly defensive player of the year offensively makes good decisions...

we could have had Kyrie and Kawhi

Smart (PG)
Jaylen (SG)
Tatum (SF)
Hayward (PF)
Grant Williams (center)

Not because I think that lineup has balance but because the team has no center ready to play. Ideally it would be Hayward or G.Williams at the PF next to a center but that is not available.

Smart (PG)
Jaylen (SG)
Tatum (PF)
Hayward (SF)
Robert Williams (center)

I think Tatum shifts to the 4, Hayward to the 3, but acting as more of a point forward.  I like the time lord at the 5.

Except it doesn't fit in this thread.  I'm guessing that the OP purposely asked about TODAY to stimulate conversation about what we have, not what we don't have.
