I expect Rozier to be re-signed for 3-4 years at a reasonable price.

After that I think Danny will keep cap space open in case any teams want to unload a guy into the Celts' cap space so they can chase an extra free agent or two.

Once the initial free agency frenzy is over, if the Celts haven't already used their cap space, I expect Danny to use the remaining cap space to sign several veteran players to short term deals, much as he did with Jonas Jerebko and Amir Johnson in 2015.  Those players were serve as a bridge while the young guys develop.

Example vet names -- Dedmon, Aminu, Cory Joseph, Jared Dudley, etc.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I think Russell signs with the Lakers. Russell-Lebron-Davis.

As for us, I would hope that we make a move on a big. Cousins on a 1+1 deal would be great. If we can trade for a guy like Drummond (idk if he’s available?), I’d be happy too.

I do think we have a logjam still at the wing position. None of Hayward brown or Tatum can play the PF full time. Either we need a big like a Drummond or Adams who can sort of offset that or we need to ship one of them out. I think brown should be the one we trade.

Yes, I've got one  :P. (you get a TP as compensation for picking you out)

So you're one of them who wants to trade Brown. Who do you have in mind we trade for?

It’s a big man for me and given the relatively high trade value of Brown (unlike Hayward), we could see a trade we have heard no real rumors about.

So who are nice bigs to have that aren’t superstars? Imo, Drummond, Collins, Aaron Gordon, Gobert, Turner, or Ayton all seem like interesting options. The cap space we have makes it so that we won’t need necessarily to match salaries.

I don’t think we can land Towns, Giannis, Embiid, Jokic or Anthony Davis.

Resign Irving and Theis.
Trade Bucks 1st, Smart, GWilliams and Yab for Turner.

Irving/Edwards
Brown/Langford
Hayward/Semi
Tatum/Theis
Turner/Timelord
I would much rather keep Smart, Williams and the first than get Turner. People here would hate his inconsistency
His role was inconsistent so hard to blame the guy. Like sometimes they asked him to just defend and wait at the three point line for whole quarters so Sabonis could do his thing inside and at the high post. You can't get rebounds hanging out at the 3 point line.

I just want it to be over. Anything else is a bonus.

This might hold up if he had previously had good rebounding years. However, he has not. Never averaged more than 9 per-36

I hear ya. Yet I feel 9 is fine depending on the system and who is rebounding on your team. Just look at Horford with 7 a game his Celtic run.

I don't think we can get Collins, Gobert or Ayton for Brown, but those are options I would have interest in. (be careful not do a 3-team-trade with Washington, because then we'll have Zach Collins at our doorstep  )

Yeah, but Horford offset that with being the 2nd or 3rd best passing big-man in the NBA. Plus, rebounding was routinely something that killed us during Horford's tenure here.
