His feet is gonna get hurt just running down the floor no-contact.

It's what killed Yao Ming's career. Being over 7'5" ain't that fun in basketball.
Yao Ming only got hurt because the Rockets coach insisted on playing him 33 or more MPG. Tacko isn't going to play more than 15 MPG lol.

This isn't about Tacko making it or not but I think science has changed, people know how to take care of their bodies so much better/injury prevention. Of course people will still get injured, big bodies flying around and all, but they bounce back faster and return to form much more (opinion because I have no facts). Also, more and more teams don't force minutes on people or let them sit out maintenance games. Tacko could fall apart but I think he lucked out in a time where they put more into health and recovery than they did in the past. They even have mental health stuff which in itself can take stress off your body. Look how much people are talking about sleep, you think players in the 90s were thinking about getting good rest? People would be playing whole games multiple times a season, now people get up in the mid 30s and they say that's a lot of minutes. Times have changed.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

just his presence might put people in the seats

I ve never seen anybody that tall before in person , have you. ?

How do you get rebounds without going over his back and fouling him.   During free throws ,  you d have to foul him to try and box out .  Too bad he can't shoot FT ,  he would be a foul collecting machine.

I think everyone needs to manage their expectation. If he exceeds Boban levels of contribution I will be impressed. But for minimum cost there's no downside.

I would love to see Fall next to basket in last minute shot situations or guarding the inbounds passer at the end of a close game. I would love to see him guarding Embiid in the post. That height is crazy disruptive.

yup.  there are certain moments in a game ....where you as a coach position him and his job is specific .  Keep a big from getting an imside easy bucket lob ....a key rebound off free throws ....if he could throw the ball,in out of bounds ....it would,be amazing .   Certain set plays and situations he could give a team a great opportunity to succeed on a critical set play.

He would be lost on run and gun Bron ball.    But on a half court set , he d be hard to control

This guy needs a mean streak in him , so people won't mess with him .

If he somehow made the regular season roster, it would be for just this reason.  He would be awesome guarding an in-bounds pass.  If he can be just taught to shoot free throws....

I feel like he should try the Rick Barry underarm technique. With his wingspan it would basically be a layup

I don't think there is any way he will ever be as good as Boban.  Boban is pretty awesome on offense.  There is no way Fall will be as useful on defense as Boban is on offense.

He needs to develop 2-3 NBA post moves and the IQ to read doubles if he wants any shot in the NBA. He is the exact same size as Yao Ming. I guess that’s a good start?

i agree. from what i hear the guy can only shoot lay ups and dunks. his FT% is 36.2%.

it will be interesting to see whether he ever develops any shooting skills, but for now maybe we should be patient and not put up high expectations.

then there is this from wikipedia... he maintained a 4.0 grade point average in high school, while taking advanced mathematics and science classes. he became fluent in English within 8 months and scored in the 95th percentile on the SAT.

ha ha ha...with him and grant on the team, no way other players can talk about a flat earth.  ;D

the more i see the posts above and think about Tacko the more i think CBS might find a niche for him on the team. crucial rebounding situations at the end of the game; one possession defense down low; or fronting an entry pass at crucial moments.

if he can even get into shaq range for FT, he will have a role with the celtics.

summer league should be fun.
