More insight about his basketball skills:

His off-court IQ seems to translate well in the court too.

You have to wonder why nobody drafted him in the regular draft.

Looks good in the video, though didn't see him in action. Athletic. Can he shoot?

Ainge obviously did his due diligence on bigs to sign this guy. No easy shots in the paint with him in there.

Love this signing. If Ainge gives him a contract for next season I'd forgive him for not selecting any bigs lol.

I love it.

A poster on this site linked a youtube clip to some of his recent games during March Madness, a while back.

He COULD end up being something really special (although at 7'7, you're already pretty special.)

Anyway, shrewd move. Curious to see how he does in the summer league.

He's certainly big enough but not mobile or skilled enough to play in the league. From what I've seen he rarely ranged much outside the paint on defense. He'll get eaten alive in any kind of switch and probably one-on-one too. Nothing wrong with a roll of the dice though, you can't coach height.

I think everyone needs to manage their expectation. If he exceeds Boban levels of contribution I will be impressed. But for minimum cost there's no downside.

I would love to see Fall next to basket in last minute shot situations or guarding the inbounds passer at the end of a close game. I would love to see him guarding Embiid in the post. That height is crazy disruptive.

His feet is gonna get hurt just running down the floor no-contact.

It's what killed Yao Ming's career. Being over 7'5" ain't that fun in basketball.

Brace yourselves. Tacko is the Yabu replacement. He will be the Cs new victory cigar.

We've gone from having the most round player to the tallest. Hilarious

Yes I think he will fill some very specific needs, and that's it. I still remember Manute Bol blocking 4 shots in a row:

Tacko looks fitter than Manute at least. Maybe Brad can gameplan some scenarios where he would add value.

36.2% FT this year...wow..is that the lowest ever? Just foul him when he is on court.

It wasn't even the lowest in college ball!

What I find most weird is Tacko getting worse year by year
