Kyrie wants to be a celebrity. Boston isn’t the place for that.

Plus, he probably got scared that if he traveled too far East, he’d fall off the Earth’s ledge.

Everybody knows that the Mayflower was a hoax.

We didn’t land on Plymouth Rock...

... because the Mayflower sailed off the edge of the world.

That’s not true. The ice wall would have stopped him from falling off.

Jeez people are realy programmed to hate the media without reflecting.

This is uncivil, ill-mannered and tasteless. Nobody is "hating the media", or "programmed" to do anything, or lacking in reflection, be it to hate, or love, or defend at all costs, etc

Let's avoid personal attacks and stick to the issue and differentiate what is said from who says it. It's possible to disagree wrt the merits of MacMullan's work as a journalist, and vehemently, without making any personal considerations about those one disagrees with, or assign ulterior motives and reasons..

Bro, your username is "alt" and you're addressing one of the most reasonable and respected posters in the joint.

I couldn't stop laughing at this!!

The "I do declare sir, you have taken my honor, now we must duel" tone was pretty funny. Over a fairly vanilla defence of the, erm, thing that everyone reads all the time.

Not to mention it's Jackie Mac, who is probably THE most respected beat writer...

Brooklyn is full of yuppies, I'm sure he'll be happy there.

Haha! Times have changed for sure there. When I grew up  and was a minor, my friends and I would visit Brooklyn to go to Metal club and it was shady as can be! Fun times though but it was a pit many years ago. Even the ladies there at that club were scary! 😁

The media will drive him insane though. First bump in road and he will get it in spades.

I grew up in NY and did not enjoy living there so I went west and never looked back. People enjoy different places.

Big deal. But, as a free agent, if I got an offer for 150 M for NY and one for 100M for somewhere out west like in San Diego or San Fran, I am taking the west coast offer 99 times out of 100.  Just my preference. In my career, I have turned down bigger offers to go back as in the end, I want to enjoy where I live where I work.

The beauty of Kyrie being a free agent is that he can do whatever he wants. His choice. I wished it was Boston but it is what it is. I could care less if he did not enjoy Boston, people enjoy different things.

Is that you, AD?

😁I live in Colorado now so not AD! Maybe IT? 😁 I can complain about East...lived there for 30 plus years. Enjoy a different pace of life and the weather of the West plus it is dry and no humidity is a blessing for me. Of course nothing compares to the culture of back East though.

Not everyone has to like living in Boston. Not everyone will.

The nightlife isn't all that great compared to NYC and LA. Winters suck. Then there's the whole racism thing.

It is what it what is.

I'm from boston.. partied in NY dozens of times.. parties in Vegas 5 times... miami twice... Theres not much of a difference except staying out past 2am.. clubs like 'The Grand' in seaport have everything... But that's just me

Jackie said He had problems with brad, with Ainge, and with living in the city.

I think it was Chris mannis said he problems with brown, rozier, and even Tatum

Lol

Yeah, there’s a common thread in all that conflict - Kyrie.

More and more glad that the Kyrie era is about over. Would’ve been nice to get some assets for him, but I truly don’t want him back at all at this point. Dude is toxic to the young team; a true Diva who isn’t good enough to justify dealing with his drama. Good luck, Nets fans!

Whatever.  He's gone.  Somebody else's problem.

Kyrie will always be unhappy wherever he goes because wherever he goes, he will be there.

The answer lies inside, friend.  Good luck.

Glad the Celts are moving on and moving forward.

TP. My thoughts exactly.

Was hoping it would work out when we first traded for him, but I must admit I had my concerns given his reputation and specific play style. Oh well. Had to take that chance.

No joke. Some one wants to take “flatearthers” on a cruise to see the ice wall. I wonder if Irving is investing in it. LOL
