“He’s a guy with a point guard’s mind,” Stevens said. “You can run an offense through him at the elbows, on the block, at the top of the key. He thinks the game. He’s a tough, tough guy and he’s a versatile player that can shoot the ball.”

Highlights. See his future teammate Carson Edwards here, and 2 times Grant stuffed him going to the rim.

Kevin Love 6'7.75" w/o shoes 6'9.5" w/ shoes 6'11" wingspan

Grant Williams 6'7.5" w/o shoes 6'9.75" w/shoes 6'9'75 wingspan

I Don't think Williams is too small to be an NBA power forward.

After sleeping a couple night I’m starting to like the draft from Ainge. I don’t think he drafted busts this time

on the NBA combine site it has Williams as 6'7.1/2" tall w/ shoes
I think you may be giving him a couple inches...but I hope you are right.

https://stats.nba.com/draft/combine-anthro/?SeasonYear=2019-20#!?sort=WEIGHT&dir=1

they also have him at a full 240lbs, the girth is the real deal.

Oh, maybe your measurements are better if they are from the combine site. So he's like 6'6 without shoes?
That's not the same unless he's wearing huge shoes! ;D

most places say he is 6'5" without shoes. but we can hope. the comparisons show that he is similar to jay crowder and draymond green in size.

i think he will be a good nba player for many years. clearly in the rotation and probably a starter some day. very good pick at #22.

Friend of mine works for a college team that played against Williams last year. He says that 6'7" is being generous in describing Williams and that he is very much a below the basket player that has a great feel for rebounding and has excellent boxing out and positioning techniques that make up for not having the vertical skills or the longer reach others may have.

That said, he said Williams, Zion and DeAndre Hunter were the three best college basketball players he saw play last year. He thinks Williams will be a great pro for the next decade and have at minimum a Jared Dudley like career.

Draft combine says 6'5.75" w/o shoes and 6'7" with. Tacko is 7'5.25" without shoes.

couple of things it is getting tiring having the media gosh over any of these kids that can speak perfect English as intelligent smart etc etc. That may very well be true of Williams, his mama is a rocket scientist so I am sure there is a premium on education in his upbringing. Can we just leave this at he is well educated?

Also, basketball is not about being well educated. Danny wants to win, you better get some ballers on the team. Keep drafting for articulate and education instead of basketball skills and you will be like Butler.
