Yeah, Toronto's doing pretty well contending with out a 20+ ppg scorer right now.

Rubio would be good in Stevens system. His three point shot could be better, but it's not horrible. 30% this season, which is 4 points lower than Lowery's. He would be better than Rondo, good passer, better than most of what we could get for cheap.

I think Rubio would be a fine PG in CBS system, doesn’t stretch the floor a lot but nows how to run the offense to get others going.
Regardless of whether we trade for AD, the team will have the scorers to take advantage of Rubio’s abilities.

He’s a hard nosed defender at the point of attack.
Given that an AD trade would likely cost us Smart it would be good to have his D at the point (and no, he ain’t Smart).

I’m amused at the posts crying that we’re lotto bound if we loose Kyrie. Anyone really think a team with Horford, Hayward, Tatum, Brown, and Smart is lotto/first round fodder? Come on, really

It's not a bad team, but it's not a great team either.

You're probably looking at the same outcome as last season. About 50 wins, 4 or 5th seed and gonzo in the 2nd round.

Ainge needs to be bold. People can blame Kyrie all they want, but everyone else on that team could've played better, hence no one should be deemed irreplaceable.

There's a very big difference between Kyle Lowry and Ricky Rubio when it comes to shooting.

Ricky Rubio is more like Rondo when it comes to shooting.

Lowry may have had a bad year shooting 3s last season, but he's a career 36.7% shooting 3s.

Not lotto bound, but clearly a 7 or 8 seed.

There's just not enough horse power without Kyrie and Anthony Davis.

Also, the other teams from the east has gotten better the last couple of seasons.
