I think he's become somewhat obsessed with being the wacky funny guy, and as such he doesn't really provide anything more than weird hot-takes or bizarre predictions. Annoying, because he was one of my favourite players to watch.

Well, there's enough macho guys in the league of announcers...I think there's room for a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously.   

But, I love Paul more when he's not part of the Billups/Rose/ and host crew....I think the dynamic with them is weird, off, forced, almost as if Paul has to be ridiculous in order to survive the thing...

I like listening to him answer questions from The Jump Host, forgot her name...senility....Rachel?  She's great most of the time...especially on the fly...she's very smooth...

I like not taking oneself too seriously, but being out there for the sake of being out there is just as boring IMO.

Agree that he's worse around Chauncey and Jalen. I don't like any of them when they're as a trio.

He’s better at this than people realize.  He’s willing to play the jester for views, and he’s decent at it.  Just a different flavor of Skip Bayless, SAS, etc. 

He’s not a good analyst at all, but viewers eat up all of these hot takes that he cooks up.  And at the end of the day it’s about views and clicks, not quality of insight.
