I’m not advocating Rozier and Irving can coexist by any means, and I think most feel they shouldn’t bring Rozier back if Irving is still here. I’m interested in what people have to say.

The most likely AD package includes Tatum and Smart and maybe all our draft picks this year.  That frees up roughly 55 minutes a game for the wing and guard spots.  I imagine Hayward and Brown will get roughly a combined 15 more minutes of playing time.  I feel like we would play big more often with AH and AD.  I think if Morris returns his minutes might be shifted more to the SF spot.  Let’s see how this might looks:

C AD 35, Baynes 13
PF Horford 30, Morris 18
SF Hayward 30, Morris 10
SG Brown 30
PG Irving 30

I still have 8 minutes left for the SF position, 18 for SG, and 18 for PG. that leaves 44 minutes left.  Many assume we will sign a quality MLE player, and we may lose all our draft picks this year.  Let’s say that MLE player gets 15 to 20 minutes a game.  We still might need someone to play 25 minutes maybe more at the guard spots.  We could re-sign Rozier with his bird rights, and he could get more minutes than this past season as Stevens has played him alongside Irving in games.

Would you even consider bringing back Rozier in this scenario?

I don't care if they can or can't, Rozier needs to be gone unless he is our 3rd string PG who doesn't play as a backup but becomes the starter if Kyrie is out.  Since that will never happen, I think he needs to leave.  I'm tried of his jacking up shots and talking about all he 'sacrificed.'

I don't mean to discourage your question, I think it's well thought out, I'm just done with Rozier.

If Rozier is on this team next season I will be very disappointed.

Thanks. That minutes gap has to be made up somewhere though.  It will be interesting to see what happens if we pull the trigger on an AD trade.

I’ll never understand the Rozier hate. Hey everyone who hates Rozier you reallly want Kyrie to stay correct? I’m doing a little survey?

Go to bed each night hoping some team signs Rozier away no matter what else happens.

Under this scenario, this could either work or be a total disaster. The only way it could possibly work is if the Celtics match an offer, where Rozier gets the money he was looking for. However, if Terry receives low ball offers and ends up taking a qualifying offer from Boston, then it will mostly likely be an absolute nightmare. If Rozier took unnecessary shots last season, then he will force it even more to try to prove himself next season.

Rozier - in his own words - believes he's "one of the top PG's in the league" and worthy of a starting spot. So I'm going to go with no, they cannot coexist.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Nope, he's made it clear that it will not be.

Rozier needs to try and take on a starting level role with freedom/shots. Unless he makes a leap beyond even his playoff performance he will fail. Until that failure occurs he's not going to be happy playing behind Kyrie.

Similar to Reggie Jackson.

Lol not a chance.

Are we forgetting everything Rozier said in his ESPN appearances?

Rozier will sign with the Hornets. Mark my words. They won't offer Kemba the supermax. He will feel disrespected and will leave for the Lakers. Then they will offer Rozier a 4/60 contract which the celtics won't match because of the signing of Irving to a max contract.

Nope. No confidence whatsoever in that working after what happened this season. I am happy to have Rozier back if Kyrie leaves but no interest in retaining Rozier if Kyrie stays.
