I've made a list of point guards (or able to play that position) that met some loose criteria as being able to score the ball with regularity (FGM>4.5) and provide assists (AST ratio>18). On that list are 25 players, most of them unavailable or too expensive.
But there's one player that could be signed cheap this summer in free agency: Emmanuel Mudiay. Surely not a flashy name and this year his numbers might have been increased just by being on a terrible team, but look at his career averages below per 30 minutes (seems more reasonable to me than 36 minutes). He could be one of those players that's kind of forgotten after not having met high post-draft expectations, while actually being pretty decent. He's only 23 years old, his 2FG% was a lot better this season (49%) by the way.
Emmanuel Mudiay, 23 years, career per 30 min: 13,8 PPG / 4,9 AST / 3,6 REB / 0,9 ST / 2,8 TO / 2,0 PF
shooting: 42% (2FG) / 32% (3FG) / 74% (FT)
Some comparisons:
Terry Rozier, 25 years, career per 30 min: 11,5 PPG / 3,5 AST / 5,4 REB / 1,1 ST / 1,2 TO / 1,7 PF
shooting: 42% (2FG) / 32% (3FG) / 74% (FT)
Dennis Smith Jr., 21 years, career per 30 min: 14,8 PPG / 5,0 AST / 3,6 REB / 1,1 ST / 3,0 TO / 2,4 PF
shooting: 45% (2FG) / 32% (3FG) / 70% (FT)
Elfrid Payton, 25 years, career per 30 min: 11,3 PPG / 6,7 AST / 4,4 REB / 1,3 ST / 2,5 TO / 2,2 PF
shooting: 48% (2FG) / 30% (3FG) / 63% (FT)
