Given what the Pelicans wanted from the Lakers, itís reasonable to assume they want Brown and Tatum in a trade package. If thatís the case, Danny needs to walk away.

Then thereís really no need for Zion and Randle on the Pels, so I doubt they resign him.

Randle have improved drastically and averaged 21/9/3 this past season with above average shooting efficiency while adding a 3 point shot to his arsenal.

Just saying I wonít be upset with this as next years squad if we strike out on AD..

PG: Rozier - Smart
SG: Brown - sharp shooter with 14th Pick (Herro or Alexander-Walker)
SF: Tatum - Hayward
PF: Randle - Morris
C: Horford - Baynes

Ball movement will be better, rotation will be tighter.
Two choices - the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The pain of regret hurts a whole lot more.

I like the idea of Randle as Plan B. But get Rozier off this team, period. Screw that guy!

What kind of trade would you propose to acquire him? Or do you assume he's opting-out and we sign him in FA, because in that case I think he'll cost too much for us.

I am also interested to see what kind of contract Randle will be offered (assuming he opts out)

first,
Rozier will not be a starting PG on this team
second
Randle is a great center to pair with Zion up front, he spaces the floor and is a good passer
third
Boston will have no capspace to make an offer
Dallas
PG:Kemba/Brunson/Barea  SG:Brogdon/Snell/Broekhoff  SF: Doncic/Batum/Finley-smith  PF: White/Kleber/Dirk  C: Jordan/Powell/Sejri

Bucks
G-Hill, Bledsoe, Matthews, Snell, DiVincenzo, Connaughton, Brown F-Greek, Middleton, Illyasova, Smith, Maker, Spalding, Wood C- Lopez,

Unfortunately, there arenít to many good PG options in free agency, or through trades right now. Ainge should resign Rozier if Kyrie leaves, even if itís to just add his salary to help trade for a better PG solution shortly down the line.

Just FYI, Randle did not want to come here before his draft. Who knows if his issue with the Celtics has changed.

Silky is right, Celts have no cap space to offer Julius Randle.

We have no cap space, and Ainge wasn't really that interested in Randle.

I think if Horford restructures his deal we may have the cap space to sign Randle or someone of that caliber.

The only thing that scares me is free agents not wanting to comeback to Boston given the dysfunction of this past years team.

Unfortunately, we won't have any cap space unless we renounce all free agents, and Horford restructures under $20 million, which is highly unlikely.

Why?

Even if we had the cap space, what's the point in spending money to bring in a FA who wouldn't really make the team a contender?

If Kyrie is gone and AD is not coming to town, I don't see any point in giving up cap space or assets to add a player who is neither a long term piece nor a short term game changer.

Randle has issues defending players he has physical advantages against. Giannis is longer, faster, more coordinated, and overall better at basketball than Randle.
