we have been getting better and better each year under CBS. DA has done a fine job. we made conference finals last year.  WE cannot be excited about where we are headed? really?

get outta here with your crap please.  Now if we were going in wrong direction and were stale without progress for 5 years then you can complain all you want. Maybe you should just stop watching games. ok?

I will watch and enjoy my celtics this year and many more years. DWI!  :)
LET'S GO CELTICS!

contending team.

There's talent on this team yes...but there's too many holes.

No bench.

No defense.

No rebounding.

No clutch role players that just make the big plays.

I mean which Big 3 do you guys think is better: '08 C's with Garnett, Allen, and PP or KYrie, Horford, and Hayward?

I think the '08 team would have trouble with these Warriors if I was being realistic....but yeah that's how far apart we really are.

I'm sure next season will be exciting but let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

You sound like a fan that loves misery.

he is easily the worst poster i have ever seen on this board and that is saying something!

Some of you guys are hilarious.  I get it; the warriors are on a different level.  But this team has a legit chance of maniking the finals.  Which one of us isn’t excited about facing the warriors with a punchers chnace?  I know I am.

Punchers chance sure.

But being a true title contender is being there to actually win it all every year....like the Patriots.

The C's gave up the future in trading away their picks.

There are better blue chip prospects...players who project way better than even Tatum and Brown.

We could have added to Tatum and Brown and have been REAL contenders in 3-5 years for a decade to come.

Now we are the Clippers of the East.....fun, exciting, but ultimately just not good enough.

This team is probably a conference finalist still. Only way it's a championship team is if Smart, Brown, and Tatum all make leaps and wind up candidates for Sixth Man, Most Improved, and Rookie of the Year respectively, with Kyrie being Top 5 in MVP voting, and Hayward and Horford also having All Star seasons. The Everything-Goes-Right scenario. It could happen, it's not impossible.

Thats how real life works.  Nothing is guaranteed.  All you can do is put your team in position and then see how it goes.  We gave up ONE pick.  And who the heck knows where that pick will land.  Many prognosticators are thinking it will land outside of the top five.  But who the heck knows?

And you're not recruiting Hayward and horford to waste away while we wait for brown and Tatum and all these picks to be ready to contend.  That makes zero sense.  So sure, we could have taken a page from the sixers and gone strictly youth (because you're not recruiting a star).  So we're left with Tatum, brown, and two questions marks to build around.  That's the plan?  That's what's going to lead this team to 3-4 titles?  Remember, by the time this fictional title contender is ready you won't have any space to sign anyone else.

So please, go ahead and root for the sixer strategy.  Can you honestly say they'll be a perineal contender for years to come?  All these picks and they've got one potential star that can't stay healthy. They already traded away Noel.  Okafor may bust.  Simmons?  Another inured guy that can't shoot.  Fultz?  Maybe.  Maybe not.

So tell me your plan again?  Danny is turning assets and cap space into stars.  And he still has brown and Tatum and another Lillehammer's lottery pick coming.  Frankly, DA has been brilliant.

So please, just stop.  Or if you prefer, just wallow in your misery.  Either one is fine with me.

One pick is not plural, no?

Picks can bust, too?

Ainge has a proven track record?  Yes.

You're about as convincing as the Bat Boy in his cave....

Can't we just enjoy the season and not get all worked up ahead of time about what the possible outcomes are?

Kyrie makes cool commercials, though.  And now we just need our Klay, Draymond, Iguodala, Barnes, Livingston, and Bogut to make it to the Finals.
