My favorite part is The kids mom asks how do you know they won't be as good " Because I'm smart, they won't get anyone else they won't get Durant, LeBron, Durant. Waaaaaa"

I love the passion.

Though I do find myself regularly amused by how easily it is to crush a little kid's world, I too would be crushed if something like that happened when I was his age.  Heck, I'd be crushed now if that happened.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Would I have cried if Paul Pierce had walked away from the Celtics in 2005? I would've been a lot older than that kid in the video so... yeah, I still might've.  :(

Aw poor kid, sorry buddy, you have a right to be upset.  Yup, they WILL be worse than the 76ers.  Life is tough...

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
The worst part is that the kid doesn't even know just how bad it is. What star free agent would ever choose SLC as his top destination? Also, even if the Jazz are able to draft a top level rookie, this is just fuel for the fire that he will leave at his first opportunity. If they can't keep a guy like Hayward, who can they keep?

And I understand that winning cures all, but I don't see it getting much better than a Hayward/Gobert combo. And it's not like the Jazz are in any position to be venturing into luxury tax land year after year.

They really need a Lebron James (hometown superstar) miracle and it's not like that worked out ideally for the Cavs. 2 [of 3] James Championships came with another team.

Smart kid. Has the sense to know that Gobert is a one dimensional big that clogs the lane half the time.

Still won't forget the day where the Jazz injured KG back in 2009 and costed him the rest of his season and eventually the Celtics' season that brutal year.

Nope, no remorse for the Jazz. Let them suffer for many years to come.

I feel like he has more insight than most of us.  Spot on, my dude -- without a LeBron or Durant, we're all screwed!  At least your mom loves you and you'll get experience rooting for a horrible team early on in your life.  Better that than to be spoiled.

Yes, let's videotape our upset kid and put it on the internet.

Sam Harris had rhetoric about how Jimmy Kimmel's skit about parents stealing their kid's Halloeeen can't was super unethical and potentially Seriously damaging...

I mean this is the only bad thing about sports. Of course the player as an employee has the right to work where they want within the system but as a league you want parity so that every team can compete. The current system is certainly more fair than the last, although the cap spike has hindered progress..

The simplest way to solve this is to increase the % of cap that max contracts take. Force guys to give up more and more money if they want to form these superteams.
