From what I'm reading, SAC's not interested in trading 5+10 to move up to the 3rd slot (It's been a topic of discussion since before our impending deal.) Kings like any number of players including the top 4 and Fox, who kicked Ball's butt in the tourney. At 4, the Suns might have already given a promise to Isacc. Thus, a simple trade down seems unlikely since the Kings may well have a choice of players they like at 5 and we'd have to sweeten the pot in some fashion to do a deal. Possible, but feels like a very long shot.

There is a huge drop in talent around 10. 5 is already role player status

Lol, nah brah.

might as well......

we can either pick "brick thrower" Jackson or not-particularly-good-at-anything "Tatum"

I believe a large number of women would disagree with this ;) ;D. Finally, a way to get your girlfriend/wife to be a Celtics fan - buy her a Tatum jersey!! ;) ::) ;D

Hey, it worked for the Yankees, did it not?

This is reminding me of last year, when we had the third pick and fans liked a hand full of players, Chris, Bender, Murray, and Dunn.  Oh, and a few people like this Brown kid but so few its not worth mentioning.  Oh wait we drafted that guy.  People thought we could have traded back like Phoenix did and got Brown and Chris, that would have been nice as Chris is better than I thought. I think there are 5 players going 1-5 and the order may not be set in stone.  Really after Fultz who is clearly the best, or so really everyone says, there is a drop but the next group are all really close. Ainge said he liked about 4 players the same and made Isaac one of his first workouts, so I really think he is in the mix at 3.  A trade to 5 would seem ideal to get him but it is looking like he is a done deal to Phoenix at 4.  https://www.sbnation.com/2017/6/14/15800740/jonathan-isaac-nba-draft-workout-rumor-suns-celtics-magic  I'm thinking he got a promise.  But if he is a lock at 4 then Tatum might be there at 5 if we make the trade.  I would do the trade if Tatum is the guy we want, but if its Jackson or Isaac I would get my guy at 3. For what it's worth I like Zach Collins a lot at ten, so sign me up for the trade.

I think a #3 for #5 and #10 trade comes into play only if Ball falls to #3. At that point I could see teams including the Kings scrambling to move up. May the deal ends up being #3 and Rozier for #5 and #10. With Hield already on the team and taking Ball #3 Rozier may seem redundant but he would be a perfect 3rd guard/6th man for that team.

For the Cs it makes sense in terms of talent.

example

1. 76ers Fultz
2. LAL Jackson
3. Kings Ball
4. Suns Isaac ( i think he is their guy)
5. Cs Tatum (or Isaac)
6. Magic Fox
7. Minn Smith Jr
8. NY Ntilikina (or Kennard)
9. Mavs Monk
10. Cs Z Collin or Markkanen

If at the end of this draft the Cs go from Fultz to Tatum/Isaac and Markkanen/Z Collins then I cant fault DA.

If we are going to do that I'd rather do 3 for #10 and right to swap next year.
