I don't think we are keeping #3, it is getting traded for Butler/George.

But if we did, would it make any sense to trade down to 5 and pick Fox or Issac, while also picking up 10?

Or maybe instead of 10 WCS?

Sorry but I am a pessimist. Why would SAC do this? Is there someone so much better at 3 than they can get at 5 plus another player at 10 in a deep draft?

Obviously, SAC is more than one player away so I don't see why they would even entertain that.

Posted this in another thread

just thinking

Not thrilled about this deal, but....

What will Lavar say if Lakers pass on Lonzo and the Celtics take him....will that change his bias?

I really like Tatum....he  may be available at #5....trade the #3 to Kings for #5 and #10 and end up with Zach Collins

No thanks.  I say, keep it; take Jackson or Tatum.

we can either pick "brick thrower" Jackson or not-particularly-good-at-anything "Tatum"

They could've traded the #1 for the 5 and 10 PLUS assets (WCS) plus a pick swap for next year.

I know it's the Kings, but they just watched the Sixers get #1 pick for very little value, why would they overpay for an inferior asset?

I would trade the #3 pick for #5 + WCS.

I would rather have WCS than the guys who should be available at no.10. They don't fill a need for this team nor are they superior talents to WCS. So I would rather take WCS.

I like his game (WCS). Size, athleticism. Defensive range. Shows a little bit of a jump-shot. Very good finisher around the basket and transition player. WCS would make a great backup center in the short term and possible long term starter.

Yeah if I thiught one of ball Jackson Tatum would be there.

The news that Isaac won't workout for anyone past pick 4 is encouraging in that regard. Honestly not sure why sactown does this.

Also I think part of the 1->3 trade was to open up cap space for a max guy. I don't think Boston will add any more salary which this deal would do (I think)

I think Zach Collins has a better long-term profile than WCS. More promising range. More post skill. Better shot-blocking. Good mobility (though not likely to be as quick laterally as WCS).

There is a better chance Danny donates the 3rd pick to charity than trading it for George.

There is a huge drop in talent around 10. 5 is already role player status

And 34 ;D.  Before I saw the report about Isaac in the top 4 I thought we might be able to get him at 5, but so much for that, lol.  Ugh.  I know that I posted this in another thread, but I guess at that point I'd test Zizic's trade value and see if he and 5 could get us 4.  I doubt it, though.  Brb inventing time machine ;D.

This isn't really correct. Players like Tatum and Fox will be around at 5, both who are pretty legit players. And at 10, there will be really high upside guys like Smith Jr. and Ntilikina, as well as good role players like Collins. Not tantalising, but not terrible.

However I doubt we'd do this deal.
