Of course not! How much gas does he really have in the tank? If there's anyone we'd bring back for locker room presence or just as a "legacy" player it should be Paul Pierce. Otherwise NO, to the over 40 crowd.
I know I seem like i'm a cheerleader for him but let me get this straight, Teams are looking at guys like Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen & Derek Fisher but the mere thought of possible bringing in a 25 yr old Lance Stephenson is a No-Go? Really? Guys his time in memphis was actually good. We have a weakness at the 3. Why is he not a good idea at least for a 1 year deal. Ray Allen? Really?

I'd bring him on as a coach. At his age he won't produce consistently.
I'd be shocked if he came here as a coach.  Why would he want to do that?  He is only coming back as a player to get one more payday with all the bloating contracts being given out this off-season to mediocre players.

Folks you have to think about motivations for these guys, not just what we would or would not want for the C's.
Dont get on me buddy, if we want to talk about what he wants then why not say the truth. The guy wants the attention. He has done this each of the last two off seasons now.
You are probably right.
Yup, could be right Csfan1984.  I'm just going on what I know, which is that 8 figure contracts are being handed out like candy.  What I don't know is what is going on inside RA's head.

Hey Csfan1984, I know I sounded a little frustrated at your response, but it wasn't just you.  It just seemed like lots of posters were not taking into account the "elephant in the room", which is MONEY.  Ray Allen, Derek Fisher, Rip Hamilton...it's pretty hilarious.

Yeah but those are all guys who would be getting vet min contracts, which still aren't worth THAT much and would be a lot less than they made in their primes.  I think they probably just miss the game and feel they can still compete.

I'm not mad at Ray. He did what was best for him, as he was entitled to do. He gave nothing but 100% when he stepped on the court in green.

That said, I'd really want to see him work out before re-signing him.

I am not surprised that it's you that I end up responding to after a long hiatus.

Again your assumptions mean nothing. How do you know what is driving Ray Allen back?

The guy has his own life. The last person you would suspect to be coming back for money is Ray Allen.

Look no further than when he ditched the slumping Celtics to go to Miami and win a ring. How much did he turn down?

For your information all the teams that may sign him cannot offer any inflated contracts. The contracts would be the same as they were if he signed 2 years ago.

You are clueless man. I cannot say it any other way.

Not butthurt at all, and I still love Ray. I'd welcome him with open arms.

I think he'd be an amazing mentor for the younger players.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

"Ever since my rookie year, all [the veterans would help] because I was so open to learning," Bradley said. "But especially Ray. Once I started playing the 2-guard, he wanted to help me out, so that I could be the best 2-guard I could be."

"He would tell me, going back to being consistent, he would tell me to shoot the same shot -- that my jump shot should be like my 3-pointer, and that's what I focused on every time I would shoot before or after practice," Bradley said. "It was funny, when I wouldn't do it, he would always get up and say something to me. Like, 'That's not how you shoot jumpers.' He would always call me out."
