At worse, Brown could be Gerald Green, which is a productive role player. At best, he can become a poor man's Lebron or an SF version of Westbrook.

SF Westbrook has been my upside comp for him ever since I first saw him. That would be a fearsome player, but the downside is worrisome, to say the least.

Yeah that's who I think is his ceiling. A well spoken, intelligent, SF Westbrook.

Haha.  Brown is a good athlete, but I'm not sure that he has that explosion of Russell, but I'm probably wrong.  The only thing they have in common is playing completely out of control, lol ;D.

Yeah, comparing Brown to Westbrook is obscene at this point.

I'm starting to believe Brown is the pick.

Who. Cares.

Playing infront of 17500 screaming fans with an all-pro forward on you is a little different then chucking it up in a practice in a relatively empty space. I find it hilarious that this one drill is what Celticsblog members have been basing their entire draft projections on. Dunn or Murray have put up the numbers IN GAMES and are better chances to become stars in the NBA.

Jaylen Brown said he did the Celtics' 3-point drill at his workout and made 76/100. (Sharpshooter Jamal Murray made 79)

Check out @AdamHimmelsbach's Tweet: https://twitter.com/AdamHimmelsbach/status/745657935360032768?s=09

This both gives Murray's performance context and shows that Brown's jumper is not broken.

This is huge for my view of Brown, as a college player I rarity saw a clean three taken by brown. His ability to catch and shoot would make a world of difference for him as a young player playing a 3-D role while he develops.

Dunn played 3 or 4 years. He wasnt the same player 4 years ago that he is now.

This makes no sense for a guy who shot 29% from the college 3. On the other hand, this is supposed to be an intelligent high character guy. I don't know what to think.

His shooting also rose throughout the season, as he went 25% in non-conference play to 34% in conference play.  I'm astonished when people are surprised that 19 year-old kids can get better at something that requires practice to improve upon.
God Bless all the prognosticators (not me) who apparently thought that Brown would Ace his 3-point exam, before it took place I assume and not after.
2015-2016 Season                                          3PT%                FT%                 3PT Workout

Hield                                                              46%                 88%                 85/100

Murray                                                            40%                 78%                 79/100

Brown                                                             29%                 65%                 76/100

The outlier stat in this small group is clearly Brown's 3PT workout. I like to include FT% with college players because the college shot is not as challenging as the NBA 3PT shot and FT% is often a better indicator of whether a player is a "shooter". In fact, for those who played amateur basketball prior to it's implementation, the college 3PT shot seems little more than the kind of shot to be taken routinely against a packed in zone.

Truly elite shooters are invaluable in the league.   Buddy is such a better choice than anyone else here.  Screw upside, give the guy who can show out right now.

Well then. I still don't think he's the pick at #3, but huh. Wow. If this is true, then clearly his shooting is better than college stats indicate.

It doesn't look like there was ever confirmation of this but if it's true, it bodes well for Brown's ability to learn to shoot. He'll probably get better looks on this Celtics team than he did in college and he'll be a pro, practicing his game a hell of a lot more.

I'm optimistic he can be an Avery Bradley-level shooter.
