This- I would not be surprised for Ainge to deal the Brooklyn pick in a package.
If the pick is outside the top 2.  Then I would not be surprised for him to package up the Dallas/Boston pick with player(s) to move up into the 6-10 spot for a specific player.

A lot changes when you actually work out players and see them in action.

In each draft there are gems and players who never live up to the hype.  (Insert bad selections here)

I don't know if this is a weak draft. I do know someone is going to find some players who like

Jimmy Butler 1st Round 30th pick (sorry JJ) 2011

Draymond Green 2nd round (35th) pick 2012

Isaiah Thomas 2011 2nd Round 60th pick

are going to have major impact.  Can the Celtics make moves that allow us to find those coveted players.

How many people consider Ellenson a potential star?

Starting to watch more clips and being impressed.

I think he could be what we've always wanted to Sully to be, so an excellent player, but not quite a star.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I tend not to get my hopes up on big men who shoot below 45% in college.

Without watching him more, I'd say he profiles similarly to Sullinger -- he'll probably rebound well at the next level, and his jumper is tantalizing, but I'm not sure he'll ever be an efficient or dangerous scorer.

At least, unlike Sullinger, it doesn't seem like he'll have injury concerns related to being embarrassingly overweight.

Biggest difference from what I've seen and read is that Ellenson has a decent handle and might be able to attack off the dribble not unlike, say, Aaron Gordon.

Reading his profile over at Upside & Motor, it sounds like Ellenson would be lucky to get playing time ahead of Mickey next year if the Celts drafted him in June.  They suggest he ought to stay in school.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Agreed. He would need to improve his shooting.

If we are talking potential superstars then it's probably 15 deep but only 3 will probably reach their full potential. Teams, commitment and health will always hold a bunch of guys back.
3 superstars?

What qualifies a superstar for you? How are there 15 potential ones?
I suppose definition of a superstar is a large debate in itself but just imo Superstars are players that
1. Excel (potentially league lead) at a few things/stats to become well known in NBA and by all its fans.
2. Carry or anchor a team in offense or defense.
3. Are guys you are willing to max pay to keep.
4. Are an undisputed top 40 player. Should be debatable top 30 player.

Potential 15 , Again I like based on potential
Simmons, Ingram, Dunn, Brown, Hield,
Bender, Lab, Luw, Beasly, Poeltlt,
Rabb, Sabonis, Stone, Murray, Onuaku

This is exactly my take on Ellenson too. He looked great to me pre-season, but his poor efficiency (including from 3) have made me a lot less excited, especially since he's not much of a defensive prospect.
