Since we seem to be copying and pasting, here's my contribution:

The practice of quoting out of context, sometimes referred to as "contextomy", is an informal fallacy and a type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning.[1] Contextomies are stereotypically intentional, but may also occur accidentally if someone misinterprets the meaning and omits something essential to clarifying it, thinking it non-essential.

Arguments based on this fallacy typically take two forms:

As a straw man argument, which is frequently found in politics, it involves quoting an opponent out of context in order to misrepresent their position (typically to make it seem more simplistic or extreme) in order to make it easier to refute.
As an appeal to authority, it involves quoting an authority on the subject out of context, in order to misrepresent that authority as supporting some position.[2]
In either case, while quoting a person out of context can be done intentionally to advance an agenda or win an argument, it is also possible to remove essential context without the aim to mislead, through not perceiving a change in meaning or implication that may result from quoting what is perceived as the essential crux of a statement.

Right now, Jeff Green is our best player. He's looked as good as he's ever had. Maximizing his talents and FINALLY doing it on a consistent basis. There's been so much talk about getting rid of him, and now people are starting to reconsider. I mean, really is there a better option out there? Especially if he keeps putting up 20+ ppg?

What Ainge does in the next 6-8 months is going to tell us what direction were gonna go with this rebuild. Green might be his best player asset right now. His trade value is as high as ever. He might even fetch a better package than Rondo right now.

Sullinger is our best player.

Things like +&- rating, PER and Win Shares are not the be all end all of stats. Green spends more time playing with the bench than Sully does. As someone else said, spending large chunks of time on the floor with the Bass' of the world will sabatoge. I think it's deff a close call, and I've certainly been very impressed with Sullys play this season. Last I checked he was at about 16, 9 and 3 while his 3pt % has very much improved. If he got in better shape he could get even better if he got in better shape. But Green has dominated games this year, those 30 point outbursts he's always had  are finally being followed by 17 point games instead of 4 point games. He's so much more aggressive this year, he's had a major impact on just about every game so far. Through 20 odd games, he's been our best player.

I have to be convinced that there's someone out there we can get a hold of who's better than Jeff.  Even that there's someone out there who's younger and has the potential to be better than Jeff im skeptical about. His value is at an all time high. I don't wanna trade him unless I get one of those two things back in return.

I feel as if your bias is keeping you from seeing just how good JG has played this year.
