Hump is a strong back-up PF but we already have three of those in:
Bass-$6.9m
Sullinger-$1.5m
Olynyk-$2m

To enable other deals and free up salary cap space it's best to keep Sullinger & Olynyk for only a combined $3.5m.  Let Hump go (or S&T) and trade Bass to a contender who needs a proven back-up PF.  Use the the combined cap value of Bass and Hump (i.e. $7m ea. for total of $14m) to sign a star SF or C.

The previous post assumes it would take approx. $7m to re-sign Hump so total of $14m free value when combined with $7m in Bass

Our PF surplus can go away in a hurry.  With Bass's now expiring deal he becomes more appealing to playoff teams with his solid play.  I'm still holding out hope we can get Love in which case 2 of KO, Sully, or Bass could be gone in that type if deal.  Next I'm also hoping KO with his 7 ft height can play at least back up minutes at the center spot as he becomes a little stronger.  Lastly I hate giving up assets for nothing.  Humphries is 28, and probably has several more solid years left.  If we sign him to a reasonable deal we can always trade him down the road if need be.  He has that toughness I like coming off the bench.

Humphries, Faverani, Iverson, Anthony, and FA would be a solid center core this season for the Celtics. Hopefully Anthony can at least contribute this season even in limited minutes. And Faverani is healthy. I have high hopes for Iverson, he has the height and the ability and he can score.
I disagree...with the exception of Humphries I haven't seen an indication of having a solid center core this season.  You are hoping Faverani is healthy.  My feeling is that he may have perpetual injury issues.  Iverson battles hard, but is quite limited offensively and I believe Stevens isn't keen on playing Anthony.  And, the free agent...who knows?
