Where is the Earth opens up and swallows both teams option resulting in no title being given?

I couldn't take the Lakers overcoming the Celtics in total championships AGAINST the Celtics. I'd rather The Heat beat them and prevent Kobe from getting that 6th ring.

It is disturbing to me that any Celtic fan could, under any circumstances, accept a Laker championship.

If the C's don't win, ANYONE other than the Lakers is the correct choice.

Given the 2 scenarios, I take a Heat victory every time (well, at least till they get to #17).

100% with this. TP

As far back as the lakers rivalry goes I still would rather lose to them than the heat. I think the team and players we have right now matter more than our history, and our rivalry with the heat is almost just as important as our quest for 18. The LA rivalry isnt as relevant right now, and the Heat rivalry... well its everything right now. It would be hard to lose again no matter what but beating the heat and advancing to the finals would still be remarkable and an accomplishment that would stun most.
That being said theres no doubt in my mind that when we advance to the finals we will crush the lakers in a 6 game series.

TP.  I share most of these sentiments.

I'd rather watch Lebron rattle off six in a row than watch the Lakers win one and it's not even a tough choice. If you think Heat fans are bad after winning just one or two championships, imagine what the Lakers fan would be like if they tied us in the amount of titles overall! Some of you kids just have no idea...

There is no circumstance under which a die-hard Red Sox fan would want the Yankees to win another title and our rivalry with them isn't even close to what it is with the Lakers. I truly honestly have no idea what some of these Celtic fans voting option 1 are actually thinking.
Offense sells tickets, Defense wins games, Rebounds win championships.

I hate the NBA the most when one team (and one player) is dominating the game (unless, of course, that team is the Celtics).  What I dread more than anything is for Lebron's Heat to turn into this decade's version of Jordan's Bulls.

I want our team to be the team that is able to stop that nonsense.  Of course, I never root for the Lakers and hate them with all the passion that is required of a Celtics fan, but right now the team that has beaten us in the last two playoffs, the team that most stands in our way, the team that threatens the sanctity of the game the most, the team whose blood I hunger for the most, that team is the Miami Heat.

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking.

Those of us that picked option 1 are thinking of our players not what other fans are going to tweet about if their team wins.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
2 definite truths in the world pertaining to the Celtics:

All Celtics fans despise/dislike/resent the Lakers in some form or fashion.

All that matters to the Celtics is a championship.

I don't know about you but I don't care if we are the Eastern Conference Champions. Maybe some other teams would cherish that, but to the organization as a whole, if you don't win a championship, you don't deserve the esteem.

Option 2. ECF means nothing to me. I want a banner, not a wittle trophy.

HELL to the No on the Lakers victory. I can't stand to see anymore idiotic Lakers fanboys talking about how Lakers are the best in history and things of the nature. Already can't stand the Lakers and their bandwagon fans already.
