What do you all think Ray and KG will want in salary next year?

I think Ray will command around 8-10, which I hope note and maybe he just settles at around 4-5mil. So as KG. It'll be tough if we resign them both to those kind of deals. If Bass opts out he might ask for more money too. If this happens and assume will have all three. We'll have only around 6-7 mil for Jeff Green and  others.

Best case scenario would be Bass not opting out, Green settling for about 4m, and Ray and KG sacrificing and signing for the vet's min.. That would help us tremendously in getting good FAs.. If Ray and KG want to continue playing for more rings in Boston, they should settle for the 1M..

In your best case scenario after Bass (4 mil) and Green (4 mil) we'll have 17 mil in cap space.  MAYBE enough for a max contract guy to take a slight paycut... or maybe you can split the 17 mil to sign a couple guys like Chris Kaman and Lamar Odom.

As good as they are and as much as I love Ray and Kevin...if they are commanding money in the 8-10 million range theres no point in having them eat up all the cap any more.

They will definitely be too old to contend in a year and you may aswell be spreading the money among younger players you can develop into pieces for the team or to trade.

At present and the way they are playing, Id say Ray slightly has more value than KG..Ray is perhaps a 6-8 million guy while KG is clearly a MLE type.

But it all depends as to how the season plays out, whether they escape the season unscathed with injuries because both are certainly one injury away from being minimum type salaries next yr.

I just hope that when they do come back and play for the C's. I just really wish Doc would stop this nonsense that both can still start and play 35 min anymore..that is insane even with Ray's skillset not fading. I mean KG can't jump anymore with starters minutes at the moment.
