Sources: Clippers were asked to part w/top five trade assets for CP3: Gordon, Minnesota pick, Kaman's expiring contract, Aminu and Bledsoe

bahhh.  this one's on the clippers.

Hornets in the end submitted Aminu, Gordon, Kaman, Minny pick.

NO shot it down.

Not sure I count that as a reliable source.  There is a ton of conflicting information out there right now, and I definitely trust Wojo on this one, that Gordon was NOT in the deal.

What does this mean?  the hornets can't even sign players now?  like vet min guys?

It means the agents are frustrated by Demps being undermined, so they are at least saying they won't work with them.

hard to blame the agents on this one.  all of this must seem very unprofessional to them; stern's negotiations, at least from the perspective afforded by the news that is leaking out, almost seem to be in bad faith.

You're not sure you count Sportscenter as a reliable source?

The idea of anything seeming unprofessional to an agent is a funny concept, but I agree.  It really would just be looked at as a waste of time by them I think.  If Demps has been stripped of his authority, then why would they waste time negotiating with him, only to have the deal overruled?

They will just move on to the next team, rather than deal with that.

Correct.  Because they are just reporting a rumor, that has been largely disputed by reporters who put their name on it.  So, I find it hard to believe Sportscenter finally has the inside scoop.

That was clearly a visual they put together to compare two reported trade packages.  But, it is not a source in itself.  They can pick and choose which source to believe, in order to make the most compelling visual for their discussion of the trade.

Sportscenter could easily be going on Chris Broussard.

the clippers are nuts.  flat out nuts.

figures that they'd mess up this watershed moment.  they have the opportunity to have one of the best pg - pf pairing in years -- forget about what else they'd have to give up -- and they pull out of the negotiations.  you kidding me?

They are stuck on Gordon or the Minny pick...don't want to give up both. If CP3 will opt-in, as reported, then Clippers should pull the trigger immediately.

Clippers just put a waiver claim on Chauncey Billups, according to Woj. Maybe they're gonna try to throw Mo Williams in the deal, or are trying to make up for the loss of scoring from Gordon... I still think CP3 ends up with the Clippers.

billups to the clippers, really?

not sure if that's a sure sign they've given up on paul or if it means they're trying to add depth for when they trade bledsoe / gordon.

I think the latter. We should all just be thankful he didn't end up with Miami... that would probably be game over.
