a more important question is:

In a close game, who are the 5 on the floor for the last 5 minutes?

It's been Glen all season but that doesn't suit me well at all.

I'd have to go with J. O'Neil. He's the best all-around player.

Yeah, I like the all-stars + JO.

I like the idea of JO taking some of the end of game minutes as well.  BBD has been pretty good closing games (most of the time) but as a situational alternative, JO seems like the obvious choice, especially when are playing against the larger front lines.  BBD has great energy, but I think against some teams (LA, Orlando) JO's extra length helps to get defensive stops at the end of the game.

I think this will depend on how JO's offense develops in the next few games and the early rounds of the playoffs.  If he can be an efficient scorer late in games it REALLY helps.

Yeah, I like the all-stars + JO.

Me too.  JO if he continues to improve offers as much as Big Baby does offensively.  He also can hit free throws fairly well for a 7-footer.

Defensively, it's obviously no contest.  JO isn't as good as Perk with the rotations yet, but he's longer and a better shotblocker.  Having him out there gets us as close to where we were with Perk as possible, and when you consider what JO offers offensively, possibly even a net gain.

As for the rotation, I wouldn't sleep on JO playing 25+ mpg.  It really seems the problem right now is just getting him back in game shape.  There doesn't seem to be much in the way of lingering problems.  And with days off between playoff games, I see no reason why he can't play 25 mpg.  And I do think Shaq will play at least 20 mpg in close games.  So that leave little time for Krtic.  I think he'll find 5 mpg or so, but that's about it.

Other than that, I like Baby getting 10-12 mpg behind KG (people will like him a lot more then).  The rest of way I see Rondo playing 38 and PP and Ray around 35 (only because of foul trouble) with West and Green accounting for all the backup minutes (with PP sliding to the 2 at times to open up more time for Green).

Doc has to do what is best for the team to put us in a better position to win. I have criticized Doc in the past for his choices in Game 7 in the finals with the rotation... or lack of one and must say that sometimes trust must go out the window. He can't play Paul, KG, Allen or even Rondo too many minutes.

With that said I agree with some other that JO should probably close games instead of BBD or at least be given a shot. Again trust goes out the window and sometimes it comes down to making uncomfortable decisions in order to win.

I love Ray, but not at 35 minutes a game.  I think Delonte is playing better than he is right now.  Ray has really started to get abused defensively.  I'd like to see Ray down to about 30 minutes a game and give those minutes to Delonte or possibly Green depending on situation/matchups.
I'd also like to see Wafer get some spot minutes.  Kid can play, he can help us.

I just hope JO is nothing like he was last year in the playoffs

I don't get all the Krstic hate... If the O'Neals and Krstic are healthy, BBD shouldn't play a minute at center, unless they are playing against Dwight Howard. Davis does a great work on D against him.

Krstic, Shaq and JO will share about 36-40 minutes at C, the distribution will be based on matchups, health and foul trouble. The rest should go to KG when Davis or (hopefully) Green are in the small-ball lineup.

Pierce will play more than 35 minutes every game, maybe 40. Ray Ray also more than 35, and Rondo probably 40. That leaves around 20 minutes for DWest. Green and Davis will play 18 minutes each.

Rondo (40) / West (8) EDIT: 8) = 8 minutes
Ray (36) / West (12)
Pierce (39) / Green (9)
KG (25)/ BBD (18) / Green (5)
Shaq (15) / Krstic (12) / JO (12) / KG (9)

Wafer and Murphy get the occasional 5 minutes here and there, if any.

Arroyo, Sasha and finally Bradley are in street clothes.

I like the Celtic chances to win it all.

JO's role on this team is completely different. He was the second best player on last year's Heat team. He's our fifth best scoring option. We need him to be able to be tall, and be able to catch the ball and dunk it.

Shaq (15) / Krstic (12) / JO (12)

I don't think there is a chance we'll play musical chairs like this at the center position.

It's much more likely that 1 of these three will be out, and his time is split between the other two. If everyone is healthy, that will most likely be Krstic.

Of course, if someone is hurt or playing quite poorly, we'll have the luxury of having a very good insurance policy, but that's about it.

Still he was just bad dumb mistakes, choking away at the FT line hopefully things have turned around and it was more to do with health
