I remember Woj tweeting about the vets being livid about the trade. I wonder if that was leaked to save face.

Maybe so.

I actually always thought that Danny could have spoken to the main players before making the trade.
I mean, I imagine he figured he would have lost the locker room the other way..
The Celtic in me.

not buying it, sorry.

No way these veteran players thought it was a good idea to dump salary to make the team better two years from now

What reason would Doc have to lie?

I believe it.  I wouldn't be surprised if the players, although they love Perk, were frustrated with Perk's lack of offense and felt they could get along without him, knowing who Danny was targeting in the trade, especially after playing so well without him.  Not surprised at all.

I believe it, too.  Doc knows that there are some chemistry issues right now, and the LAST thing he's going to do is lie about something his players did regarding such a personal issue.

I think Doc probably should have bit his tongue on this one, because he's basically saying that his players endorsed shipping one of their friends out of town.  Maybe that's something that they didn't want Perk to know.  Still, I have no reason to think he's lying.
I don't think it was necessarily an endorsement so much as a "here's what we want to do and why" kind of discussion to get their understanding/buy-in.  Not saying I was privy to the discussion but that would seem to make more sense.

I keep hearing people saying we have "chemistry issues". I can understand we need some time to let these new guys all Gel together and create better on court basketball chemistry. But when I think of "chemistry issues" I think of locker room problems.

Building chemistry on the court is just a business process, figuring out the puzzle.

Do we have locker room chemistry issues?

Well, the team's chemistry took a hit.  They went from an extremely close knit group of 15 guys that hung out a lot together, to a core group and a bunch of new acquisitions.  Time will tell if the new guys fit in as well as the old guys did, but until they do, there's a bit of a feeling out process and a resulting loss of chemistry.
