I was just wondering some peoples thoughts on him. If anyone knew when he became a FA because I think he could be a very nice piece to the puzzle in the post big 3 era. Up late sorry for the random post but give me your thoughts on him and if you would take him in green. And those FA experts when does he become one so we can snag him!

No way he leaves Minny, him and Love get along great and really work well on the court together.

He reminds me of Pierce a bit, the only difference is PP was like a Guard growing into a Forward's body, where Beasley is a PF learning to handle the ball and become a quick forward.

Real good player.

I've always been a huge fan of Beasley. I thought I saw some serious sparks in Miami and it's obvious that he's over his health issues and he's really performing well.

I'd love to see him in green but no way the twolves give him up...

  • Rondo = Good
He's still a terrible defender and not particularly efficient, even though he's shooting really well this year.  He never became the rebounder people hoped he would be coming out of college.

I think Beasley has done a good job finally breaking out and making something of himself after a disappointing start to his career, but I still think he's a lot closer to Marvin Williams than Kevin Durant.

Really like Beasley, and I think he's still growing and improving, which is a big factor to me. His scoring has improved each year since entering the NBA, (now at 19.9 PPG), he shoots tres at around .381, his assists have improved, (to 2.2), and while he is certainly capable of stepping it up defensively, 5.6 RBPG and 0.81 BPG is far from "terrible". Most importantly, IMHO, he isn't a selfish player, and is very open to constructive criticism, and has the hunger to improve.

So far, he looks like the classic stat hanger on a bad team.

When he was on a playoff team, and Wade needed him to step up and help, he played very, very small.

He's an awful team basketball player, especially at SF. He makes it very hard for his team to run an offense.

His scoring is up because he's playing more minutes for a fast paced team. Overall he's still scoring at the same rate and efficiency as with Miami, which isn't very good.

His assist rate is still paltry 12% (less than Ray Allen's), up from 7%. But given his massive increase in offensive responsiblity and shift to SF that should have gone up much more.

He's a solid rebounder at both SF/PF, you're right on that.
