My guess is that Rondo works as hard if not harder on his game as everyone else on this team. However, it still boggles my mind that this guy who is one of the top athletic point guards in the game, is still shooting below 50 percent from the line more than half way through the season. It means that at the end of close games, your best ball handler cannot have the ball in his ends.

But how much is his free throw shooting pertinent? I mean how much of a percentage of his total play is ft and does it matter that much?

I worry more lately about the turnovers and bad passes. It almost seems like he's just trying to maintain himself out there. As though he is playing through a lot of pain. And the way he has been going down so easily lately; it's just so painful to watch him crumple to the floor like he has a few times lately.

Rhondo is absolutely awesome at full health and I think his feet are hurting him.

It is important, because if he is in at the end of the game and he has the ball, he is going to get fouled and he is going to have to make his free throws. I got heat for this before, but I just don't think it is acceptable that your point guard shoots 49 percent from the free throw line. Maybe he will never get better and we will just have to live with it, but it is a true weakness in his game. I am glad it is one of the few he has, however.

Oh yes, well I see what you're talking about and agree.
From the time Rajon came on board, I've perceived that he seems to get nervous with free throws. How do you fight nerves?

I'd personally like to know that myself. 8)

Yep. It's pretty bad when you're best ballhandler and allstar point guard can't be involved in a play at the end of the game because he can't shoot free throws.

I do believe that Rondo works on his free throws.  Don't know why he's not getting better at it though.
