KG's better days are behind him. In fact he is looking mediocre. Perkins has been neutered by the League. Allen shows up on pay day and Pierce is ready for the studding barn. LA is just too big for us, have the best money player and they have the best active Coach.

I've been a Celtic fan since the Cousy days. We are over matched  this time. Last time we had Powe and Posey. I hope we can stretch em out for a few wins anyway. Tough for Rondo to get into his act with their timber. This could get ugly. Hope I'm wrong.

Is this quote for real?  Ye of little faith.  Wow, one game where the C's lost because of a lack of defensive intensity - not being outclassed, and you are jumping ship.

The problem is we have almost no chance of winning 3 in a row at home. Think even if we win tomorrow, that means we will have to win 4 in a row to close them out. That won't happen. The Lakers don't have losing streaks like that.

The only chance we have is to win tomorrow and game 6. I have a very hard time seeing that happen when all we can do is flop and try to draw bail out calls. Pierce and Allen were pathetic out there last night. All they could do was flop like Euros and the refs kept bailing them out because they felt sorry for them. Embarrassing.

I am not sure about the series, because I think it is very tough to win 3 straight games at home, and winning game 6 or 7 in LA will be tough.  However, I feel very confident about game 2.

the Celts get their focus back on defense and start knocking the lakers around some, we will be in much better shape.

i don't expect us to win three straight at home, either, that's too much to ask any team who's playing a good opponent. but unlike you, Chris, i'm confident the Celtics can win either a game 6 or 7 back in LA. the '85 lakers were plenty confident coming back to boston up 3-2 and we should feel the same way if we play our way into that position.

but we kinda knew that going in, right - i mean the way the league has screwed up the finals schedule since 1985, has anyone split the first two and then come home to wrap up the title with three straight ??

who's genius idea was the 2-3-2 anyway - let me guess, stern ??
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Detroit did it in '04 (against the Lakers, no less).
