OK, I'm as excited as anyone about the Celts effort and performance tonight sans KG, and in the last 18 minutes of Game 1.  It's awesome to see the C's play great basketball.  But let's not go overboard with giddiness.  I liked the Celtics to take the Heat in 5 in round 1.  The Heat simply aren't that good, and the Celts match up well with them.  They handled Miami well all year.

Anyone who's been watching this team play since Christmas had to have had some doubts entering the playoffs that they would be able to turn the much cliched "switch" on.  Even without the switch on, I thought they should be able to handle the Heat.  With the switch on they have dominated.

My fear was not this round.  It was that the Celtics would ease past the Heat and get a false sense of security, thinking that they were back to championship level and not keep it ratcheted up against Cleveland.

I want to see the Celts continue to take care of business against the Heat, but not let it go to their heads when they get to round 2.

For now, this sure beats the alternative of sucking at home, and playing at a level where anyone can beat them.  Enjoy beating the Heat, but be ready to step it up even more against the Cavs.

Let's finish round 1 quickly!

I sincerely hope that complacency is a thing of the past with this team.  Hopefully they keep their motors going like tonight.  If they do, they can beat any team in the league.

TA has Wade figured out and that is the Heat. Plain and simple. I got the C's in 4, and think they should be able to pull it out like that.

Lets just hope the Celtics realize we are in the playoffs and nothing will come easy and keep their foot on the gas from now until they either lose or win the title.

This is a 16-rung ladder, and no rung is worth any more than another.

We've cleared two rungs. That's all. Gotta keep doing the things that won these last two games, particularly on the defensive end.

Encouraging? Yes. Proof that the switch has been flipped? Absolutely not. I need to see it again in game 3.

i think it is ok for everyone to go nuts this round and dream big!!

Its the playoffs baby. You worry about the next series when the next series gets here. You worry about the next game when the next game gets here.

Until then keep on pummeling the crap out of everyone in the way!!!

Go Celtics!!

Its one thing to get complacent in the regular season in front of half dead crowds, and when your body is aching.

These guys all know what the playoffs mean! They know they are running out of time! They will bring it! Go Celtics!

Once they feed on the crowd, they should be able to respond. Rebounding was the key tonight. Jermaine & Co. is no test when compared with Cleveland or Orlando. This game was fun; but not a sign of hat we can expect against real teams (teams with 9 player deep lineups not 1 deep like Miami).

Also think that Sheed needs to sit if he does not rebound plain and simple.
