Honestly, a lot of these trade proposals are the equivalent of trading Jacoby Ellsbury and Jason Varietk for an elite first baseman. It'd be great we had an elite first baseman, but the downgrades we'd see at the CF and C spots and the fact that Lowell would have to go the bench wouldn't make up for the upgrade.
