Isn't Lebron right? I hadn't heard about this photo until he mentioned it. I took his point as "Hey why aren't you covering this too?" And, he's right. Generally they haven't.

Jerry should be asked about, Cowboys should be asked about it, other NFL players should be asked about it. Jerry should have to explain his thought process about being there. By the way, I would think his reasoning could be completely defensible as a 14 year old.

Times change, people change, and ideas do too.

It's funny that as soon as LeBron says something people are so quick to say "What an idiot".
He's an idiot because it has been covered and Jones has responded.  Lebron is a self-centered idiot because he somehow thinks reporters should question him about a photo from 65 years ago that has no relevance to him.  He's an idiot because he's comparing Kyrie's outlandish behaviour in current times with something Jones did 65 years ago which was a completely different era.  Jones has said he was there for curiosity but even if he were there against integration that sadly would not been out of the norm for that era.

The photo was taken two years after Emmett Till's murder.  6 years before George Wallace's stand in the schoolhouse door against integration.  7 years before the Civil Rights Act.  10 years before the Loving case decided laws against blacks and whites marrying were unconstitutional.  It was roughly two decades before the Boston desegregation school busing.

The only real relevance the photo has today is as history to remind us of what actual pervasive systemic racism really was and how much, much, much better it has gotten in a relatively short time frame.

LeBron is not wrong to call out Jerry Jones.

He's wrong to try to use it as a shield for Kyrie.

Meh, it's bush league. Jerry Jones' photo from his adolescence is irrelevant; it's of little value to anything of any importance other than giving a hint of historical context. Nothing more, and nothing less... all else is faux outrage.

Here’s three better questions: Why isn’t the media asking LeBron about why he profits off political party-controlled labor in oppressed/occupied mainland China? Where’s the social justice for the 1+ billion individuals in mainland China who are oppressed 24/7/365 by a violent, heartless, godless political party? Why not make Air LeBrons and other LeBron merchandise in a nation that embraces democracy, if not the inner cities of America?

Yeah, those questions are a bit more pertinent to LeBron and basketball than Jerry Jones and even Kyrie. Until those questions are asked and addressed by LeBron, he should just shut up about his fake commitment to social justice.

I don’t disagree with him , honestly. “ We we’re curious is a silly embarrassing answer. I don’t think it’s wrong for black people to THINK “ why not him?”  Why isn’t there more energy asking HIM to denounce racism? He clearly could have. That’s my opinion.

It’s fine to ask Jones the question, even if it was a half century ago when he was 14.  Ask the Cowboys players, too.

But why would anybody ask Lebron?  He’s not the arbiter of social justice for all sports.

If he gave one iota about social justice he would’ve denounced the Chinese government’s utterly inhumane treatment of the Uyghurs or even their regular citizens.  But no, that would affect his bank statements and we can’t have that.  LeBron should stick to what he does best—Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. and moan about being fouled and acting like a huge hypocrite.
