… that was taken off the board?

Miami fans seem to think so.  I don’t see it.

The Heat fans in the arena were also upset about the two 3s that were clearly after the shot clock being taken off the board, and I've seen some online upset about the 2 points we scored despite the clock operator not resetting the shot clock, so I'm not sure that they're worth listening to

I actually think those 2 points from Grant were a result of an egregious officiating error. Horn blew, and officials blew the whistle. That should’ve been a stoppage in play. We got the benefit of bad officiating there.
At this point, one team or another gets screwed no matter how they rule.  I think they chose the one with the least amount of damage because I don't think the players stopped playing.  Grant took it up against the defense and made it.

Look at it another way; the take the points off the Board and the Celts are essentially cheated out of two points because of operator error by the home team.

You don’t even need to feel like there was a compromise.  Replays are easy to find — Grant clearly got his shot off before the whistle, so officials counted the basket appropriately per the rules.  It was after the horn, but the horn isn’t the official signal for a stoppage of play, the whistle is.

Regarding Strus being out of bounds, it's fairly obvious to me from the video that he stepped down on his heel before taking the shot.  If you're not convinced, this image of his left foot is definitive.

Even if it was a wrong call (Sure didn't appear to be) the officials more than made up with it by calling every ridiculous Lowry flop as a Celtics offensive foul.  Officials must've thought Lowry was wearing number 23.

There a Twitter pic that some guy got off a screen TV or computer, where Strus' heel is up off the line, but if you put the video through a video editor, it looks likely that he stepped out and I'm sure the NBA has better video playback capabilities than I do.

I read that Secaucus (Replay Center) has more cameras angles available to them than ESPN provides. Whatever we saw, they had more views to change that call. And because of how and when it happened, I believe they KNOW he stepped out, more than we THINK he did.
