He played very well in the first quarter and hurt us for the rest of the game.  Getting Pritchard back in the game after his bloody nose in the fourth quarter was important because it got Waters off the court... he was making a lot of mistakes.  But for a fourth-string guard, he did about as well as we could reasonably expect.  He's not here to win us games.  He's here to fill in the gaps.

Just don't ever put him in a garbage time situation again unless that s*** is actually mathematically out of reach, lol.

Well said. Waters was a horrible draft pick. You just don't draft guys that small. Maybe around the 55 mark.

He tries super hard, but he reminds me of Grant Williams in that he's just a few inches shorter than he really needs to be in order to be a reliable piece at his position.

Reminds me of Grant in the sense that he also doesn’t belong in the NBA. Least Waters is on a 2 way contract, though.
Grant is going to be in the NBA for quite a while. You might not like him as a player, but he definitely is an NBA role player that will probably cut out a nice 10 year or more career.

Based on what? His per 36: 8pts, 5reb, fg:42%, 3pt:36%, FT:55%. Average defender at best... player efficiency rating:6.93. He doesn’t do anything well.
He's a 22 year old kid finishing his second year and played important minutes for a conference finals team both in the regular season and playoffs.

He's also a role player. There's a ton of guys in this league that didn't play as much or as well as he has and was able to hang around a long time.

PJ Tucker was so bad his rookie year he had to play 5 years overseas before getting back in the league. He is probably the closest player comp in the league for Grant. He's been around since 2007.

And there's a whole bunch of others: Corey Joseph, Shelvin Mack, DeMarre Carroll, Kostas Koufos, Alexis Ajinca, Quincy Pondexter, and on and on. Guys that hung around 7,8,9,10 years by cutting out a role and filling it.

Hate Grant. Okay, I get it. But guys like him hang for years and years in this league. That's undeniable.

Anyway, this is off subject. If you want to respond, cool. But that's all for me.

I only hate him at center. I actually think he is a good role player when used correctly.

Brad should pair him on the court with Kornet. Spread the floor with two bigs and have some rim protection on the other end.
