Brown's getting clobbered  so he needs so sell that contact to the half blind refs.

A lot of guys don't have what it takes to do this though was my point.   Selling a call can be very punishing physically.   It is not as simple as taking a class in it.   Folks take acting classes all the time and can't act a lick.   I think Smart has a unique skill in this regard and he sacrifices himself physically all the time to pull it off.   Brown at one time was a mediocre free throw shooter so it is skill that he has not honed much.

Using yours inside hand they can't see to pull the defender on top of you always worked for me well.   But as I said not all guys have that mindset.

A lot of guys have bad attitudes with the refs, and I think that hurts you getting calls as well.   One would think there star power and all star status  would help Liam.   But I have come to the conclusion in many years watching basketball that a lot of the refs, don't like the Celtics and it is rare for us to get calls or the benefit of the doubt.

All true, sadly true...  :(

I would add that if Brad would "POP" off to the refs once in a while it might help. Great coaches work the refs for their players. No doubt Brad should've used his challenge last night when Marcus was signaling that he didn't touch Harden. Marcus knows!

Agree.  It may not have been a game changer but why not challenge?  Brad seems to be an anti-challenger.
