Nah, but we could always target him in free agency this summer.  8)

Imagine that.

He left Cleveland because he couldn't beat Boston. Now he will leave Cleveland to play in Boston.

It would feel eerily similar to 2014 when the Cavs signed him and traded them first pick for another established star. What would the Celtics get for Fultz? Fultz, Crowder, future picks, fillers for AD!

Isn't the time between the playoffs and Draft/FA fun?

Lebron James is a genius. Mozart is an intellectual peer.  I would trade every single player on the team for him.

You been drinking?

I'm thinking peyote buttons or 'shrooms.

I could use a few of those right about now.

While Lebron is a great player, he doesn't necessarily put us over the top, still need one more.

That being said. In 5 years Lebron could be done with playing. In five years Brown will be 25, Futlz 24, and 2018 pick 23-25.

Worse case, we have three guys who didn't pan out, but we're in the lotto.

Best case, we have three guys that are either nearing all star status, or are All Stars and now competing for rings.

TP....sounds like a team from northern California to me!! I'm hoping!!!

Need a lot of luck, but a #3 (JB) a #1 (Fultz) a #6 (MS) and a lottery pick next year are better initially than a 11th, 7th and 2nd.

Keep the picks and develop for the dynasty, get Hayward and a big to compete in the Horford/IT window.

Win now, dominate later.

God no. I'd rather have Joey Crawford reffing games and James I-can't-catch-a-cold-even-when-a-terrorists-own-father-tips-me-off Comey back in charge of the FBI.

Man, this is tough.  If it was Lebron two years ago, I'd say yes absolutely.  My two concerns are:

Lebron's age.  Is he going to be the best player in the NBA over the next 3 years, has Durant eclipsed him in these past 2 games?  When we traded for KG, he was 31 years old and we got 3 excellent years out of him, and still another 2 very good ones.  This would be acquiring a 33 year old Lebron (next season) which is a bit older.

The dominance of GSW.  The KG trade made Boston the title favorites at that time as there was no really dominant team in the NBA.  Even then, we only got 1 ring out of it.  This hypothetical trade would not make us title favorites.  So the idea that it would "guarantee" us a ring I think is false.

But this youth movement doesn't guarantee us any titles either.  Very tough decision.  Gun to my head.... I say... No.  Keep building until GSW breaks up.

GSW's dominance reaffirms my stance on this.  You battle your hardest playing near perfect basketball which keeps you even with them all game long and then they always seem to go on a 12-0 run in 1 random minute to pull away.  I'm a little more confident turning this down now.

IMO theres a possible Anthony Davis prototype in the 018 draft in Mohamad Bamba (still got to see what he does in college) but even then no you dont trade the Brooklyn picks.
