certainly a beauty to watch him rip the ball away from any type of players

I can watch those highlights all day. He does them EVERY GAME.

Smart is special. He's not yet an offensive powerhouse, but you don't get rid of guys who can do what he does.

Danny did once before with Tony Allen and I believe he regrets that every day.

I think TA signed as a FA with Memphis...unless what you mean is he let him walk without paying him?

Marcus 'My Ball' Smart.

He makes those other players look stupid at times. Many of those shots should have made Shaqtin the Fool because Marcus made a fool of those players.

Yeah I remember a few years ago Danny was asked what he thought his biggest mistakes were as a GM, and he did say that, although he was negotiating with TA, what TA wanted during free agency Danny thought was too much so he let him walk.

Danny said he now wishes he had paid him and sees it as one of his biggest mistakes as a GM, which is fair considering he let go of the player Kobe said had the best defense he's ever played against.

Everybody always says we could have won in 2010 if Perkins hadn't been injured, but even if Perkins was injured, if we had TA to slow down Kobe during that last game we might already have banner 18.

MS dislikers have got to like the Marcus that speaks in rhis artcle. Level-headed, candid, self-deprecating and respectful to fans, coach and teammates.  Glad he's on the team and poised to raise his game in the playoffs.  He'll give it all he has -- and hopefully won't shoot too much.

Yes that is what I meant, sorry I didn't clarify.  I think Danny was low on Tony post-ACL tear and in my view it was his worst decision ever as a GM, letting him walk for peanuts to be a perennial ALL-NBA defense for Memphis.

I think Marcus is a better player however.

I bet the dislikers you talk about are the ones who really don't dislike him , but point out his big flaws.

Some of them often blame Smart when the team struggles.
