WCS is the real deal.

Would rather have him over Noel.

Get it done Danny!

Since I am on the left coast, I got to see WCS play more last season (mainly against the lakers and clippers) than I saw Noel.  I was never really over impressed with him.  He was ok, not as strong defensively as I thought he would be.  I personally wouldn't give much to get him.  If Sac is having a fire sale on him and it doesn't take much, then yeah he is an improvement over Mickey, but seems unlikely that he would take minutes over Al, KO, Amir.

I haven't seen as much of Noah, so I guess that is why I am more open to him than WCS.  WCS will be cheaper, and maybe in the end that is all that matters for a couple of years.

WCS will always officially be a #6 pick, but let's not forget that there was talk of him possibly falling to #16 where we picked Rozier. Reportedly, the only reason WCS went to the Kings was because Cousins wanted to play PF, not C, and the Kings were doing everything they could to make him happy.

As for what it would cost to acquire WCS, those casually throwing out Rozier along with future firsts are overrating his value. The Kings are the ones putting him on the block, I would imagine because he has been mostly ineffective. Just because somebody was a high pick (especially in this case) doesn't mean he is still worth a high pick; value is fluid. Just ask Kwame Brown.

Frankly, Rozier is proving to more promising than WCS (anybody watching tonight?), never mind the picks.

Is he? I know there's a tendency to put the green tinted glasses on and it's hard to compare players who play such vastly different positions, but looking at stats like PER and RPM, Willie's the more impactful player. When you account for the fact that Willie actually would address some of the needs we have, I'd absolute trade him for Terry. I would be reluctant to give up additional assets beyond him though. But if it was a Rozier for WCS straight up swap, I'd do that deal and don't look back.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

All kinds of crazy signs from the Kings floating around twitter. Now they're saying they're getting fed up with Cousins. Boogie hasn't played all that well so far this season.

Yeah, maybe my last sentence was a bit of an exaggeration as I would also likely do a 1 for 1 swap, but including additional firsts (plural) doesn't seem like the right move. I love the way Terry plays and he is still very young. If/when he figures out how to have more mastery with ball and body control, he could be unstoppable.

The same potential is there with WCS and we do need big man depth upfront, though. It would also allow us to feel more comfortable in signing Hayward to a max next off-season because we would have already addressed the big man need with very little salary cap implications.

He hasn't looked very good this year in limited minutes, but he's still 7 feet tall.  He can't rebound any worse than our guys have.

So far this season? He has.

I heard Shaq say on TNT the Kings might move in a different direction soon. Shaq is a part owner of the Kings. I take that to mean Boogie might be moved. There was something on RealGM today about Cousins maybe being traded by December. The question is whether the Wyc-Ainge-Stevens decision making tandem would want Boogie. He has an attitude problem, and it isn't clear moving him somewhere else is going to cure it.

Basically Danny should be fired if he doesn't get WCS. I'm sick of watching this team with the same issues each and every year.
