They started playing US basketball games on the TV here in Australia in the late 70s, early 80s. The Celtics featured regularly and they became my team when I got a sense they were the team other fans hated the most and most wanted to beat. They stopped playing games here and I had to rely on newspaper results and the interest around playoff time, until pay TV came along and I watched games in clubs and pubs and then on the net.

I have educated myself on the Celtics past (DVD boxed sets etc) and thrived on the hate of the big 3 era. The Truth was my hero for that period but KG was my ultimate type of competitor. I love the history and pride, but also embrace the hatred of other fans.

...even a team depending on the likes  of Vander Blue  and Christapher Johnson for offense was worth rooting for.

That was probably the most biased officiated series that there has ever been.

I suspect Kings fans would disagree . . .

The most egregious refereeing ever.

...I sulked in my room after we lost to the Lakers one year (even though I had gotten my parent's old car as a gift literally an hour before).

I know, I was a spoiled Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.. I hate this memory so much in retrospect
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
