You have to give up to get something. We have IT from that trade and and a pick. All Dallas has is him. I hope he plays great so we get their pick this year. The Future is Bright in Boston. I actually have the nets as a fav on my phone to see if they lost. Sully and KO looked great in the last game.

We got IT later, in the three-way trade with Phoenix:

BOS get Isaiah Thomas (from PHO),  Gigi Datome & Jonas Jerebko (from DET)
PHO get Marcus Thornton & 2016 CLE pick (from BOS)
DET get Tayshaun Prince (from BOS)

Basically, we got IT for MT & the CLE pick.

The parts we got in the Rondo->DAL trade were Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, Brandon Wright and a protected first round pick (Dallas).

We traded Wright to PHO for the MIN 2016 pick (protected).

who did we trade jameer for? I honestly can't remember.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Nate Robinson, who was subsequently waived.

You got Crowder from that trade. IT was acquired in exchange for the Cleveland pick and Marcus Thornton.
We got a 1st round pick for Wright from Phoenix. Minnesota's pick I forgot it was two different trades.

I thought this thread was about Myles Turner or Justise Winslow.

Powell's versatility did intrigue me though, but then again, so did PJIII's.

Let's be honest, Powell is producing in Dallas because he's had an opportunity due to their lack of depth, and he gets to play off much, much better offensive players.

In Boston, Powell would still be sitting on the bench behind 4 or 5 more talented and experienced big men, and even when he got in the game, he wouldn't have the kind of space to operate that he's got in Dallas.  Totally different situations.

Probably true.

Which is exactly why Crowder and the first rounder were worth it for a throw in.

Posted the same last year. He's a good basketball player. I'd rather have him than Olynyk, which I guess isn't saying that much.

I think you'll find that if we lost Olynyk, our resulting drop in the W column might change your mind.  He's an absolute advanced stats stud - does a lot more on the court than his standard box scores show.

Unless you are of the pro-tanking crowd that is, in which case sure you probably want him gone.

Yes yes... I was well aware of this early 2015-16 season obsession with his advanced stats before I made the post.
