Sure PJIII hasn't set the world on fire, but hard to see any substantial minutes sitting behind Kevin Durant.  Over here all he has to do is beat out Turner and Crowder for minutes.

Winslow was not having as much trouble as you suggest. I'd take Winslow 11 times out of 10 over PJ3.

If Perry Jones were a real rookie this year, he'd be a great-tools guy who underwhelmed for four years in college. Guys like that don't tend to get drafted very high. Dwight Powell is a great comp-- he went 45th in the 2014 draft and I see no reason to think he'd have gone higher this year.

It's not a very worthwhile comparison anyway, and here's why. Almost all rookies are bad in year one. Then, some are decent in year two, and then if they're going to be actually good they start to really show it in years 3-4.

We've got Jones on a contract for one year. If he were to put up rookie of the year numbers, he would be still be worth much less than a real, 4-year-cost-control rookie who was bad but showing some kind of promise.

in2012 orlando summer league perry scored 16pt with 8 rebounds and was considered the steal of the draft and was a lottery talent with huge ability -how did he fall so far ,his knees were flagged-matter of fact those 16 points were vs celtics blew by fab,put backs and hit 3's
