Why replace a guy who is getting it ?  He's taking it to the hoop more and is still getting better.  Keep Green in Green.  No sense in building without him.  Keep him and surround him with better players.

Green is a nice player, but he is not a building block.  With his contract coming up at the end of the season, he is looking for a raise.

He is the type of player the Celtics could move and get back a nice return.  Unlike Rondo, he does not draw FA to the roster.  Unlike Rondo, he does not play a loaded position.

Rondo doesn't draw Free Agents. He doesn't recruit them and considering the parity in the league at his position he's really not much of a sway. Green though actually could draw either one of two free agents next year: Roy Hibbert or Greg Monroe. All came from the same school, have the same agent and are still very close. I'd count on that connection right now more than any pull you might think Rondo has.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

While I agree with you that Green's strong relationship with Monroe and Hibbert may indeed prove valuable, should either of those guys be on Danny's radar, I'm wondering on what basis you are asserting, "Rondo doesn't draw Free Agents."

Exactly when was that ever put to the test?
