He will always a be a solid offensive player but will never be a go to guy or star. He lacks the mentality to be a go to guy/star

Agree.

He's a player that will always need a shot created for him most of the time. He can't score when he's double teamed. I think he would be excellent off the bench though.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen

Agreed. I would start Zeller and play kelly around atleast 25mpg maybe more if he does well. Zeller is starting to show up or Rondo is making him look good

TP to Larbrd33 for the optimism -

I agree on Olynyk. I do think he has the ability to become an elite scorer. Will he ever be a Durant or Melo or James? No, but that isn't the only definition of elite. Those guys take a ton of shots every night to hit their point average.

I think Kelly can average 18-22 a night because of his touch and versatility - running the floor, mid range shots and 3 pointers, etc. In another year or two as he gets slightly stronger I think we will see more of an inside game out of him as well, adding to his arsenal.

I think Kelly could become elite as an overall offensive player, the combination of his scoring, passing & spacing that impact the team's offense efficiency game in and game out.

For now, however, I would start Tyler Zeller and make Olynyk my modern day Kevin McHale. I like the size and mix of Zeller and Sullinger.

I would look long and hard for a good, athletic center to pair with Olynyk off the bench. Eventually and with the right defensive center next to him Kelly may be our starter at PF but not just yet.

I'm interested to see how Olynyk might pair with the more physical Faverani when he comes back.

I like Smart and Olynyk leading the bench mob.

Right now, Stevens trusts Oly on offense and Bass on defense in tight game situations.
