if any report is true, then Love to Celtics is gone

Upping the offer with Klay is the counter of CLE upping their offer with Wiggins...

Honestly, Minny will receive more ready-now players from GSW, and more potential with Wiggins

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Why do I think Flip will screw this up? If both players are being made available, he'll probably take the Klay Thompson/David Lee package in some delusional belief it'll get them a playoff berth. Because why would he take the #1 pick with superstar potential who's cost-controlled for the next 4 years? I just have a feeling he'll try his Daryl-Morey-I'm-smarter-than-everyone-impersonation at the worst time and screw the Wolves over.

I knew this would happen.   Now the Wolves have to try somehow to get both Wiggins and Thompson and let GSW and the Cavs kill each other for Love.

But what if the wolves could make this happen

To GSW: Waiters, Bennett, Dieng, Cavs future 1st
To Wolves: Thompson, Wiggins
To Cavs: Love, Barnes

The Cavs want Love, but they're not idiots.  Wiggins + Waiters + Bennett + Thompson + #1 is *way* too much.

Not only that, but the package doesn't help GSW win now. They are primed to make a run in the West, and "projects and young talent" won't help with that. They really should have traded for Love when they could have.
Celtics fan for life.

Wouldn't the owner step in at that point?  Would feel like Saunders is treating the situation with monopoly money if we went in that direction

WOW, realistic or not this is one of the craziest trade ideas I've seen. TP

GS takes a hit a SG but gains a high risk high reward in Bennett plus a young Dieng.
Minny gets Klay and Wiggins. No brainer for them
Cle rolls out Kyrie Irving, Harrison Barnes, Lebron James, Kevin Love, Side Show Bob.

I don't Cleveland would be dumb to do this since what they're sending out is garbage or unproven and a useless first for Kevin Love. If anything, GSW hold this up.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Which do you think Minny wants now though? Rubio and Pekovic are already established players, possibly fringe all-stars. So adding Wiggins would be harder as they are not in a rebuilding/developing phase.

Rubio/Pek aren't close to all-stars especially in the West.

Even in the East they'd have trouble.

Rondo/Wall/Irving/Rose/Lowry are all better than Rubio both in reputation and play.

Pek would be competing against Noah, Bosh, Hibbert, Millsap, Monroe, Drummond, etc.

Lol, Flip is a partial owner of the team. But according to CanisHoopus - the majority owner Glen Taylor is a senile old man who should've sold the team when he had a chance. The really have no faith in their front office or management whatsoever. Makes me all the more thankful for Danny, Wyc & Co.

Andrew Wiggins has not been offered for Kevin Love. Klay Thompson has not been offered for Kevin Love. This is where things stand.

Spin that sugar, Flip.

Minnesota seems to really be hoping potential trade partners are the type to panic from a Twitter rumor.
