Rondo is not the player he was.
But keep living in the past if you want to.

You're right - he's a much better shooter now.

40% from the field, 28% from 3s, and 62% from the line.
He has actually gotten worse.

That's his stats for half a season, recovering from injury.
But nice try.

EDIT: 30 games not half a season

The poster said he is a much better shooter now.
No, he isn't, and he has a bum knee.

By the way, how do you copy and paste an image?

All I can figure is how to copy and paste the link of an image.

You have to find an image online. Right click, select "copy image url" then in the "reply box" find the "insert image icon" click that, then paste the copied image url in between this [ IMG ][ IMG ]
Got it, thanks. Just need to work on it a bit.

forget the stats, especially regular season stats.  For me, it's all about the playoffs and big games.  Certain players just have that special something that enables them to play their best when it is needed the most.

Everyone points to the Miami series when Rondo almost single handily willed the Celts to a win.  But, for me, it goes back to the championship season of 2008.  Pivotal Game 5, Cavs are just kicking the Celts' butts late in the first half.  Under 3 to play, down 12 and 1 second left on the shot clock, young Rondo (2nd year, first playoff) hits a 3 (from the corner, IIRC).  After a stop, Rondo comes down and pops another 3 (early in the possession, ultimate confidence) to cut the lead to 6.  Celts finish the half only down 3 and win by 7.

That is a player with championship pedigree, a player you go to war with.

I think we can all agree that Rondo's stats are better in the post season. That is something that the great players can do, and Rondo has it.
