If Minny dont do a deal with us and he ends up with SAC and we keep all the picks. What do you guys think think he would come via free agency? We will have more cap room Wallace would be more likely to have been traded. Could you go anther year losing and take the gamble?

That's a big gamble. Who knows what will happen in one year.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This is the other side of the coin. Love's visit, it made us jubilant, thinking of a green and white savior hitting 3's and throwing out perfect first pitches at Red Sox games.

So we see the speed bump in the path and think, 'no, we'll circle around.'

Jackie Mac has it right in one regard, it's not a done deal. You can't just go home with the prize without the dance. This isn't a 50/50 lotto, we gotta work for it , trust that Danny will work for it. There is a method to this, a dance. And the music has barely started.

I don't think we can sign love via free agency. I don't think we'll have to. We've got one of the best packages on the table (excepting Cleveland, Chicago is a red herring), and we're among the most motivated to make it work. Nobody has both the volume in assets and incentive to get this done more than Danny. And Indont think anyone is more capable.

So it's not a done deal. I'm not gonna worry about it until after draft night.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

This is what I would rather happen. Signing Love ill admit is a gamble, but the Celtics might have to offer more than what Love is worth just to get him. I think we should wait for MInny to get a little more desperate to trade him or if he is traded to another team hope he does not sign there....i know those are two big gambles I just think love is not worth anymore than this pick and sully....no more picks than that.

I think the trade is the way to do it.   He may visit other towns and like them too.

No.

If you'd like to build a team around Rondo/Love you try and put that together now. That doesn't mean you give in on every asset you have Dolan style, but if love gets traded to another team and then hits FA the odds of the C's acquiring him aren't nearly as high as attempting to trade for him now.

I mean, either we trade for him or we don't.  If it is not worth the price (which will be a heck of a lot more than Sully (little value) and the #6.  Will most likely beed to add two more firsts, including #17 this year.

If Love were to be traded elwhere, it would not be some random team.  It will be to a team he is willing to resign with so odds are very small he would ever wear Celtic green.  Just look at D. Howard.  Wanted badly to go to the Nets and he left his orginal team and still did not end up on the Nets.

Also, would we even be able to offer max money?  If not, then forget about it.
